I played four sports at a small high school and one sport in college. My grandpa is currently telling his friends I played five sports in college. I’m slowly becoming a legend.
A parent of one of our players said to me this morning, “If you look at him in 8th grade compared to now, he’s a completely different kid. He’s happier, more disciplined, and confident.”
That’s what sports does and that’s why I wanted to coach.
Thank you

and the entire Florida State football staff for allowing us to visit with them yesterday. The hospitality was first class and I can’t wait to get back!
I’ve been thinking about if/what to post the last week. I’ve realized if a social media post isn’t worded perfectly it can easily be manipulated to mean something else. So, let me speak plainly. I’m with my friends, I’m with our kids, and I’m with all who are hurting.
I absolutely hate asking for money. But my wife and I are raising support to go on a missions trip to Central America in March. If you feel led, we really appreciate the support and the prayers!
Remember in high school when you saw a teacher in public and it was really awkward? Turns out it’s just as awkward being a teacher and seeing your students.
“Davion, I know everyone is working really hard right now but let me explain to you why cheesy potatoes are essential to the success of every family gathering.”
I thanked my wife for doing the laundry.
Her response was, “yeah, I’m better than you at everything”
I’ll be faster to the washer next time. Always have to compete.
“Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in his ways! You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands” Psalm 128: 1-2
Work is a blessing, Happy Friday!
Thank you to everyone who prayed and supported Sophie and I on our trip to El Salvador and Honduras! If you want to know more about the trip feel free to reach out, I would love to tell you about it!
Well deserved!
@CoachSather
You’re an unbelievable friend and mentor. I can’t wait to see what God does through you in this opportunity. Good luck coach. Get to work!
We reached our goal! Thank you to everyone who donated and prayed! God is good! Please continue to pray for us, the other members of our team, and that God would work throughout the trip.
One of my biggest takeaways from The Last Dance is Dean Smith telling Michael to go pro when he was leaning towards coming back to school. Seeing a coach choose what’s best for the player over their program is amazing to see.
Doesn’t get much better than Allen Iverson pulling up to a game with grape sodas and a bag of chips ready to give you 40.

The Journey of Maturity
1. The courage to be yourself.
2. The courage to better yourself.
3. The courage to lose yourself in love and service to others.
For those of you wanting to know more, we will be taking the Gospel on foot to remote villages in El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras. We will be using skits, games, and door to door evangelism to help tell people who Jesus is.
