When stored in a plastic bottle the taste is tainted by the plastic beginning to pollute the drink. It's safe but it definitely changes the taste. The same thing happens in cans, which also have a plastic lining.

@capy_clara @EsmeMarion No prob! If you want to know more about Dahl's history with racism, the Oompa Loompas were originally pygmy caricatures and its reflected in their original illustrations (pre-Quinten Blake). Though it was changed by the 70s its still fairly obvious in the writing.

Another update on the Colonel Bleep reel. The canister has been drained but it's going to have to sit and dry for at least three months to finish the process. I'll check on it monthly and see if it improves in that time. It's improving, but slowly.
