I do wish I had a priest to confide in about my gender. Without being shut down/condemned off the bat, I mean. I have questions & anxieties about my life - in & out of the Church - where I would deeply value priestly insight. Disclosure just puts so much at risk, though. Ach.

For Sacred Heart Month, the best thing my non-affirming Catholic mates can do during Pride is 1) pray for queer folks (esp queer youth) to intimately know the love of God, and 2) ask God how you can show his Love (spiritually & materially) to the queer folk in your life 👍🏽

Most of my extended family live in Tampa Bay, including my 83yo cousin who visited us a few months ago. Not all of them are planning or able to evacuate. I beg your prayers for their safety, friends 🙏🏽

I designed 4 pride pins for work & my boss approved them all but only had me put the institution's logo on 3 of them. The TRANS LIVES MATTER one was excluded in case "we run into any problems with that." I don't exactly fault my boss for that but, y'know... Feels bad man.

I'll be leading RCIA on Sunday. As much as I groan & gripe about Catholicism, being a part of this ministry is one of the most edifying parts of my faith. I'm far from the model Catholic (and I have no desire to be a model to any), but I love it all the same.

For Pride Month @ the TEC church I used to work at: Evidently the girl who replaced me printed off a coloring sheet of assorted cartoon *fruits,* colored them, wrote HAPPY PRIDE MONTH on the sheet, and taped it to the office door.

My 83yo cousin visiting our family always gets my name right & genders me correctly & yells at my mom when she doesn't lol so I no longer accept "they're just old & set in their ways" as an excuse for disrespect ✊🏽😤

Regular Confession has done wonders for my spiritual life. I've talked on here before broadly about how it's my favorite Sacrament. But it's the one that has transformed my heart, mind, and will the most.
