I am a protestant and I am proud to be a representative for Sinn Féin. Changing facts is not the change that people voted for!!
Tánaiste should withdraw and apologise for lying on national radio -
@WynneTD
"I am a Protestant and I am proud to be a Sinn Féin TD. Nobody in Sinn Féin has ever made an issue of my religious views - it is not acceptable for
@LeoVaradkar
to do so."
I'm what you would call 'a Southern Protestant' and it is a well known fact that I speak up when it comes to United Ireland ( sometimes to much ) let's talk more ♥
The vandalism at

I am proud of Sinn Féin for bringing forward this motion and I am proud of Ireland to be the first country to take concrete action to condemn the annexation of the Palestinean territories by the State of Israel.

I do not believe that this should go ahead at this location and I am making contact with the Minister to voice my concerns directly. I will also be seeking a tour of the premises at the earliest opportunity.

that was a poor attempt. How do have the neck to comment on Housing, health or anything else, your party has failed in every aspect 🤔 I'd say take a seat but you probably couldn't find it🙈
I just spoke in support of the Labour Motion decriminalisong the drug user and calling for the establishment of the Citizens Assembly - it has been delayed far too long.
It's high time to make housing affordable again!
Sinn Féin are paving the way for sustainable, social housing policy.
This housing crisis has gone on too long!
The dystopian era of families having to raise their children in emergency accommodation must come to an end.
Poll: Should the government decriminalise cannabis? Absolutely 💯 so many including my own partner are being charged for using it for medical reasons. When they use it, it's a drug, a pharmaceutical company use it and it's medicine 💊 stop the Dealers

So to come back to the questions
I have stated the information that the department provided. There are many reasons why the location of West Clare is not suitable. Nuts and bolts is this, there is a lack of access to public services for the people in West Clare such as GP's,
@IsabelleFlanag8
At many times, I feel that the services in West Clare is not good enough for the existing population. Why would I think it's appropriate for IPAs. It seems its more like your jumping on the government band wagon in saying that any opposition to locations chosen by this Government

is a campaign that needs your support. Patrick helped people who could not get help anywhere else when it came to their illnesses. They were all let down by the system. Patrick let down by the legal system, his patients let down by the health system. JOIN US

Taoiseach Micheál Martin has claimed Sinn Féin “will never criticise Russia” and has attacked its “notable silence” over the Putin regime’s build-up of military forces on the Ukrainian border.
Great to meet with the USI outside the dáil today. The Government TDs need to go listen to the struggles that our Youth are facing and the impact its having not run by them! Sleeping out all night ✊ for the cause..

This is an absolute disgrace and brings the leadership of this assembly into question. Again.
I have to say
@paulreiddublin
seems like the trojan horse of the assembly here and only adds to the reservations I have expressed.
This lady expressed anti-cannabis sentiment earlier in the day actually agrees here as well, which is striking.
Her concerns are being dismissed by Reid and the CA staff.

HAP properties do not empower people.
They do not provide people with forever homes.
They keep people in precarious and excessively high rented properties - rather than addressing the root issues; lack of rent controls and long-term tenure.

St. Stephens day/Boxing day!! Definitely more nuture than nature. My family used both. On my mother's side, Boxing day. On father's it was St Stephens day, as for me you can call it what you want, only one day truly matters, the day we unite this Island✌
RIP Ava Barry. It was a real shock to wake up to this headline this morning. I can't imagine how Vera and the rest of the family are feeling at this time. Vera will always be remembered for her Courage and will to fight for Ava's medication. They led the way, made it ok to need
ICYMI: I asked the Taoiseach about when he expects the Citizen's Assembly on Drugs to take place. He expects the CA to be up & running by summer & report back by the end of 2023.
I will hold him to this.

We are calling for cross party support tomorrow evening in the Dáil for this motion to protect not-for-profit Local Enterprise Schemes and Jobs Clubs☑️👏
Interesting remarks from
@sinnfeinireland
. They don't think someone should be criminalised for possession and yet they have been pestering my partner for my months over his conviction for cannabis. They even said they wanted to suspend his membership over it and him not a member
@sarahmaintains
That's my very point. All are affected by the lack of said services, its not a them and us, that is why as a public representative I'm saying the location is not suitable. Yes IPAs do have to go somewhere and my job is to push Government to do better when housing IPAs.

The WoH's campaign ask is simple:
"We are seeking a Statutory Public Inquiry into the atrocities that occurred and continue to happen in the Irish Defence Forces."
I fully support these women's ask - which is the least deserved, and sent a letter to the Minister as such✊☑️
Tonight, I had the absolute privilege to sit in as the Cathaoirleach of the Dáil! I got to close the proceedings just after midnight. Go raibh mile maith agat to our Ceann Comhairle for the opportunity. Oiche maith agus beannacht💛💙
In 2002, the vast majority of Irish people disagreed with decriminalising cannabis use.
Only 21% of those polled were in favour of decrim.
Now, those against, are in the minority at 31%.
Ireland is still operating in line with these older views. It's time for change.
Sitting in on the
#BetterMaternityCare
campaign - they have one single demand:
The return to pre-pandemic level of access across all 19 maternity units!
It's infuriating that women's rights are STILL being dismissed, 19 months down the line we should be doing better.
We are Irish, we have been dealing with rigged all our lives this is no different. We stay the course, we inform and we don't let this fail. I believe the side we are on is the right side off this argument. All these other countries can't be wrong, stay strong ✊✊
The Medical Access Cannabis Program is highly restrictive. It currently helps less than 30 people.
Recently Patrick Moore was sentenced to 5 years in prison for trying to help people by donating medicinal cannabis.

Sean McNulty, my fantastic intern, is unfortunately finishing up his placement in my office. He has been dedicated and delightful for the last several months, working with me to fight for you. Perhaps in ten years we may see his face representing his county!
Three weeks ago, I tackled An Taoiseach in the Dáil & requested that he make a surprise visit to UHL and Ennis Hospital. He didn't heed my words. Instead to much furore & fanfare, he will visit tomorrow.
There are 72 people on trollies in UHL today; they will be hidden tomorrow.
“Lower support among younger age groups may be the result of younger users being more aware of the potential harmful effects of cannabis" Oh they are aware alright, they are aware if it is legalized it would be harder for the youth to purchase.
The study, published in the European Journal of Public Health, finds a “surprising” lack of support for recreational cannabis among younger people (aged 15 to 24 years) even though they are more likely to use the drug than older adults.
About 90% of hospitalisation for cannabis is down to people admitting to using cannabis rather than another drug. Can these doctors find a death certificate stating the C.O.D. is cannabis. All the issues stated come from alcohol also! Why don't you promote the effects of alcohol?
The violent scenes coming out of the north of Ireland are shocking. We should not be here, the dark days are over. We should be looking forward, forward to a brighter future for our children
