Notes on meeting the Critical Role cast:
1. Taliesin deeply understands why we relate to his characters
2. Ashley's excitement for the game and us is unmatched
3. Laura loves to make us laugh and knows how important humor is
4. Marisha radiates confidence and sunshine
(Cont)
5. Sam speaks gently and kindly, and is very humble
6. Travis is kind and always excited to hear fans' stories
7. Liam's empathy permeates everything, and his held gaze is pure love
8. Matt is pure heart. The gentlest and kindest soul you could ever meet
Matthew Mercer should be proud of himself because I was in such a high emotional state that I didn't even feel him doing this
I saw the print and made an inhuman squeak
Anyone else have elaborate fantasies about what your guest character on CR would be and how they would be introduced to the M9 and how the other characters would react to them or is it just me
Jester's ending was not 'ruined' or 'comphet'-ed or whatever. It was Laura's choice. It's HER character. She didn't ruin Jester's ending, you just didn't LIKE it. Learn the difference.
Also Laura has twice now had her strong, vibrant personality-having characters end up in a solid relationship with a man, once with kids, and still be badass. Wonder where she gets that from. 🤔 it's a MYSTERY.
Okay I'm finally watching The Menu and the second
@aimeecarrero
came on screen, it was like seeing a friend. "do these people know they're in the presence of the woman who so eloquently played Opal, one of the best characters of all time" ✨️

"Lebby" is close to "Liebe" so I'm just imagining Veth misheard Caleb say "I love you" to her in Xemnian once, and now calls him what she thinks is the word for love.
I'm 8 episodes into Fantasy High and oh man do I ever strongly relate to Kristen Applebees!!!
@agbeardsley
is nailing the experience of growing up religious, having that faith shaken and also being LGBT+ and closeted at the same time like whew buddy that was ME in high school

deserve a raise, a bottle of their favorite top shelf alcohol (or non-alcoholic beverage), and an all expenses paid vacation to their favorite country.
Episode 4: Post Show Q&A GIFs are live on my patreon!
Since this is a bonus post I've made it available to everyone right away 💙
GIFs of Episode 5 coming this Sunday! Enjoy this smirk from Taliesin in the meantime 😉
I told a 75 year old, hard-core Christian, ex-Marine, white cis male regular at work "Please don't call me a girl anymore, I'm a man." And he said, "Thank you for telling me. I'm sorry I was making you uncomfortable." It should always be THAT EASY.
Molly returns, sees Veth
Molly: Who's this? What happened to Nott?
Fjord: Terrible tragedy. She died violently.
Veth: Stop telling people I died
Fjord: Sometimes I can still hear her voice
Veth: I'm RIGHT HERE
You can be bi without ever explicitly saying so. You can be bi without ever showing overt attraction to more than one gender. Caleb is bi. Caleb has shown affection toward Essek. Sorry it's not a full make out session. He's Liam's character so if Liam says something it's CANON
I would like to take a minute and remind some folks who are drawing Beauregard Lionett that she is not white. Here are official art pieces if you need reminding what her skin tone is like.

@TalksMachina
Marisha: Jester went from wanting to put Beau in a frilly dress to buying her a custom-made, tailored suit. How does Beau feel about the attention to detail Jester has for her personal preferences?
#AskTalksMachina
With all the recent talk of transphobia, I want to take a moment to shout out the men of
@CriticalRole
who helped me, without even knowing it, be comfortable with coming out as a transgender man.
If your love for the M9 depends on them acting the way you want them to, you're only going to be disappointed. These are their characters. It's an extremely long form improv piece, and also, a game. If you want characters who do what you want all the time, get your own game.
I want more "best friends accidentally get married but there's no 'ew gay' jokes and they still aren't afraid to show each other physical affection" plots in media please
@nytopinion
It's so great to know that my existence as a transgender man who can get pregnant is terrifying to imagine being included in the conversation about reproductive rights. Fun little thought experiment for the cis and not actual people who's lives are at stake. "Opinion" my ass.

I haven't seen anyone else talk about how huge of a deal it was that Veth gave up her flask?? It wasn't treated as a big deal at the moment but. That was her lifeline for so long. Hopefully it can be the start of her truly letting go of her goblin past.
