Today is my first day
@resendlabs
! I'm excited to help building the next generation of email for developers and work with
@bukinoshita
and
@zenorocha
again 🚀🎉
I really love that at
@WorkOS
we keep raising the bar for quality.
We recently launched our new Documentation website, one of the things I worked on was adding full type defintions for each of our SDK methods in the API Reference page
We just pushed a 50% performance improvement in response times for the Resend API.
• Before: ~1133ms
• After: ~569ms
Shoutout to
@vcapretz
for making that happen! 🏎️💨
@p_mbanugo
it’s, but it creates new objects in memory, so you end up with duplicates and generate more work for the garbage collector, just be mindful when using, not saying it’s bad tho!
Just like devs can hover over methods in their IDEs, they will soon be able to have a similar experience in the WorkOS Docs 🎉😎
Hover to see the method, click and navigate to full definition in the correct API Reference page
@mpjme
@JoshWComeau
Man you can’t imagine the influence you had on my career, I got to learn so much from you, got inspired by your videos and the way you communicated. I hope you’re doing well!
@gldesenvolvedor
Recently, at
@WorkOS
, we had our first Hack Week, so I wanted to describe my experience and how we did it so maybe you can try it at your own company:
"What you DON'T like about Resend?"
This was probably the hardest question to answer so far.
Still, I had a lot of fun recording this new Founder Q&A video with
@vcapretz
😀
@lucas_montano
sempre mando parte em USD de volta pra corretoras gringas pra comprar ações/fundos, etc, então parte do meu patrimônio vai sempre ser em dólar
@alexanderkondov
@kadikraman
It’s definitely not true anymore indeed, I recognize building great apps with RN might require a bit of extra effort compared to some things you would get for free when writing native code, but it’s possible 😄
Super proud of this achievement by
@gabrielmfern
One new thing we are now starting to do is to actually explain how we measured the performance and how we improved it!
This week’s
@WorkOS
our hackweek included using
@remix_run
for the first time, dog fooding our own products, building a React Native example app, writing amazing resources, and of course, eating pizza 🍕😎🤓 so cool!!
that's a massive improvement in
@PrettierCode
's performance! just tested the `next` version in Resend's dashboard and it went from ~11s to ~3s! it's super nice to see these pushes for performance improvements
before vs after:
A ideia é ter metas intelectuais e pessoais (me baseei no Bruno Perini).
one day you're feeling writing the best code of your life, next day you realize the cause for a bug you tried fixing for days was not properly looping through an array 🫠
something really nice happened yesterday: I was invited as an external speaker at a lunch & learn session in a company because someone read my blog and thought it would be nice for me to share more about it 🎉🤩
Build, by
@tfadell
is one of the greatest books about building companies that I’ve ever read, I can see myself coming back to different sections during different phases in my career to reabsorb advices like a personal mentor
Yesterday, my co-founder
@bukinoshita
told me his dream is to get a Golden Kitty Award statue. 🙀
So now I'm doing everything I can to make it happen.
Can you please please please vote for Resend?
I've been doing css for a while now but never notice how much I actually don't know about it. Doing the amazing course by

vamos fazer um fika (café da tarde) no meu time hoje, composto de: coxinha, guaraná e brigadeiro, obrigado Suécia por me proporcionar oportunidade de matar saudades do meu país
It’s up! We’ve been working in the new version of our documentation for the past months and I learned so much being part of this project.
Zeno wrote an amazing thread about it 👇
for my birthday I got a french press, coffee grinder, an electric italian coffee pot, Nespresso capsules and instant coffee as gifts from my family. the know me so well
that friendly reminder for you not to only use colors as a user feedback since that is not completely accessible. adding some icons (or even written information) goes a long way 😎
in 2018 I moved to Sweden, accomplishing a dream I had of moving abroad, it wasn't an easy for me to get there, but I managed to by continuing to learn and not giving up. I wrote about it in details here:
so my current role is essentially a front-end only job now and I have been spending the last weeks on a personal project that I need to do the back-end and I'm having so much fun
@jensimmons
also, I do appreciate the work you're putting into Safari to make it better, there has been some really great features added and I like it so much ☺️
Excited to share that
@WorkOS
has raised an $80m Series B! 🚀
We also acquired
@Modulz
, the company behind
@radix_ui
and
@stitchesjs
.
Here's why this is a big deal and what we're planning for the future in terms of developer experience...
I'm going to record another Founder Q&A video this afternoon with
@vcapretz
!
What do you want to know about Resend?
Could be anything related to the product, engineering, company, team, etc.
our fix was to duplicate the element in the DOM with bold style with hidden visibility, so then it always takes the wider space and you don't get layout shifts 😅
