@TreciaKS Not really. I had a lead developer position without having a CS degree. You can learn pretty much anything using internet resources. Would it help? I think so. Especially having the in-depth knowledge of data structures and algos would probably change the way I take on tasks.

@matifanger REST is what you need probably 99% of the time. GraphQL has its place but it doesn't make sense to use it for every API, there's just no need for the overhead.

What's the craziest one-nighter you had? It was during the last lockdown. 3 large e-pharmacy apps. It's deployment night. I run the front-end. And mobile side. Work 28 hours. Litte to no rest. Tons of stress. But pretty fun. These things... Build a ton of experience.

@devadam88 Next is not a backend framework. It's a front-end framework that has a small server running to enable SSR for SEO reasons. For 90% of cases, it's sufficient enough to handle simple services. But if you need more computing power and a robust backend system, then I wouldn't use

How resourceful are you? Had to redesign a web app and code it in ~5 days. Had the first design ready in 12 hours. Crafted my own 3D assets. Started coding. Delivered. They were happy. Thereforer I got to finish another app. They were amazed. Underpromise. Overdeliver.

People can't understand what you offer? There are 2 main problems. 1) Your offer is too confusing or complicated. 2) You are targeting the wrong people. Revise your target audience. Gather some feedback. Nothing changes? Revise your offer. Keep it clear. Not clever.

I screwed up and will work overnight. Chose the wrong tool for the job. Didn't think about future plans. The needs were too complex. The tool couldn't handle it. Time to change gears. Work overnight. Start fresh. But it's ok. Screw up. Learn. Next time I'll be ready.
