There are tons of little details with Father already in the game!
You can get tons of small dialog by doing weird stuff in his room, like running, opening the door multiple times, etc.
I was looking at the Mario animations from
#SuperMarioOdyssey
and found some interesting unused ones.
I'm surprised nobody has found them yet, but from my internet search that appears to be the case.
Well, that's all I could find.
Once again, some of these are probably used. Also, there could be more unsed animations that I missed, because there are a lot of animations.

Hack
This has nothing to do with hacking. Hack is the internal name for capturing something. So, when the player captures something, the Mario model maybe displays this nightmare-inducing animation. So it's probably used, just unseen.

TouchJump, TouchJumpLong and TouchJumpSign
These are very similar to the jump you do when stepping on ice in 3DWorld, so they might be leftovers from that game.
In any case, they seem to be ballerina-like jumps and dances. They could be used somewhere.
And finally, the two more interesting ones in my opinion:
TestDemoDiverA and TestDemoDiverB
These are the animations used in the opening and ending of the first Mario Odyssey trailer ever. It's quite interesting to see they were never removed from the game.
CatapultStart
This one has a decent change to actually be used, but I think not because of its nomenclature. Actions in Odyssey tend to have 3 animations ([Action] + Start, [Action] and [Action] + End). This one only has the Start animation, so it's probably unfinished.
GetShine, GetShineCity, GetShineEmpty, GetShineGrand and GetShineSub
These are likely early versions of the animation for getting a Moon, because the actually used animation for that event is called "DemoGetShine" (Demo means cutscene and Shine means moon).
WhipWait, WhipAttackStart, WhipAttackWait and WhipAttackEnd
Yet another type of attack that goes unused. Whatever it is, it seems like you were able to hold it for some time, rather than it having a fixed duration. I say that because of the lenght of the WhipAttackWait animation.

Yes, this is real.
Maybe some are actually used. I'll go over my thoughts on that matter for every animation.
Mario's body/head/hands/face all use different sets of animations. I only recorded the body ones.

BikeRide
This one might be used for the Metro Kingdom bikes, but I don't think so because those are internally called "Motorcycle" and there are some animations called MotorcycleRide, MotorcycleJump..., but only one called BikeRide, which suggests that "Bike" is something unused.
Punch
Just like in Mario 64, Mario once could punch. I'm not sure why, but I actually recall this one being used in the game, though I'm not certain. I've uploaded it just in case. This applies to most of these animations.
It's not used when punching Bowser, that's for sure.
Fire
I'm pretty sure this animation would have been used for shooting with the Fire Flower if it had been in the game. It's probably a leftover from 3DWorld.
CanoeWait, CanoePaddle, CanoeTurnL and CanoeTurnR
These are pretty interesting, as they seem quite developed. So yeah, at some point Mario could ride a canoe. Probably in the Lake and/or Seaside Kingdoms. It's a shame it got scrapped.
