UTSF members took time today to attend a hearing with MSU admin. They didn't come prepared for arbitration, nor did they give us information critical for further negotiations. Although we walked out today, we will continue to work toward recognition of the UTSF bargaining unit.

NiCole Buchanan (Psychology): I have personally talked with hundreds of faculty about our union. They have been impressed with our forward-thinking Board, proactively agreeing that if a majority of the faculty support a union, the board would voluntarily recognize us.
Ning Hsieh: Both the Trustees' neutrality policy and Provost's communication state that MSU will voluntarily recognize a bargaining unit if the union demonstrates majority support through a “card check.” Let's count the cards we collected ASAP!
