So many ppl have sent me the Amtrak route. It’s exciting! But also incredibly embarrassing. It’s 1.5 hours longer than driving wo the inevitable delays and price wise, it’s out of the question for our family compared to driving. We just need to do better. This is a start.

@Nicole_Cliffe While visiting my parents, my greyhound was glued to my dad, ignored me. My dad wasn’t feeling well & went to bed; pup followed him & got on the bed wouldn’t let him sleep. My mom knew at that point: ER. Turns out he was having a heart attack. The dog knew. My dad is fine today!

I grew up in a small Illinois town that randomly had the highest lgbtq population per capita in the country in the nineties. Queerness was just so normalized to me growing up it was never questioned. I had NO IDEA people weren’t cool with queerness till I went to college. #pride
