@teamspooky This is a bit misleading. Sega will still be producing arcade games. They're selling off their game center division to another company after reporting signif. losses. They may not have faith long-term of arcades, but their music arcade games are here to stay. (e.g. Chuni)

Dallas #maimai_us was fun! Here's my impressions: - DNB staff SUPER on board with wanting maimai to be successful. They've even given out gloves and aime cards! - it's the same cab from R1 PHM. The 2nd cab is getting repaired and will be back soon 🔧 - watch out for air hockey 🏒

OP raises a good point that highlights the maimai craze -- the game has been a staple in Asia and Japan, but, since DX, has massively skyrocketed in popularity, especially in China (over 1500 official stores!?) It helps being a very social, flashy, and cerebral kind of game.

#maimai_us location test update at Puente Hills Round One! - They gave a date when the test will end (2:00AM July 15) - Updated exact downtime. ※ Mid-July is roughly the time BUDDiES PLUS will come out internationally. The US ver. updates so far have been in parity with Asia.

To put this in perspective -- the only other LEVEL 15 in the game has been PANDORA PARADOXXX. This is the first Level 15 in modern maimai. The song name I believe reads つなぎて (繋ぐ), which is like "Connect with me". It really comes full circle 🥹

All TUYU (ツユ) songs will be removed from SEGA's Gekichumai games and, in another post, also on Project Sekai. Particularly notable is Territory Battle, one of the most popular Chunithm originals also in Phigros. They don't specify an exact time, only "updating sequentially".

Now that #SGDQ2021 is over, I browsed GDQ Stats to see how everything tallies up. And I'm blown away that *during* the maimai showcase we raised so much money that it was the 3rd-highest game for the ENTIRE event! I'm literally reacting like how Keiz was when I played... w-wHAT
