Do you know how much it costs to be found not guilty of a crime? In my case, upwards of $10,000 not even accounting for the lost wages and the incredible stress to me and my family. I walked in a pedestrian walkway and took video of cops being rough and that earned me charges.

The one staff person currently at RVAP who I am still close to is one of the all time best human beings I know and does so much for the community constantly. Horrifying that the university is doing this to this staff who gives so much.

Today they confiscated my nail kit that has been in my bag every other time that I’ve been in the courthouse. Just mentioning so that everyone in the JoCo courthouse can now feel a lot safer that I am no longer wielding tiny nail scissors.

Vanderbilts charge against me was immediately dismissed by the court magistrate for lacking probable cause. Arresting officer took me back to campus and told me this got “political really quick.” He defended the arrest and said the order came from his superior Cpt. Tony Meadows.
