This morning 68 veterans who served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam departed on the Oklahoma Warriors Honor Flight from TUL! This nonprofit recognizes vets by taking them on an all-expenses paid trip to Washington, D.C. to see the memorials that were created to honor their service.🇺🇸

At 3:09 PM a military aircraft made an emergency landing at TUL without incident. In an abundance of caution, the crew elected to deplane the aircraft on a nearby taxiway. None of the 22 passengers on board were injured. (contd)

NEW NONSTOP FLIGHT TO DEEP-DISH PIZZA!🍕 @SouthwestAir announced they will be adding nonstop, twice daily service Chicago Midway Airport (MDW) in June 2022. SWA will be the only carrier from TUL to serve @fly2midway , while American Airlines and United Airlines both serve O-Hare.

A brand new fire engine was delivered to TUL’s fire station! This will replace a 1992 E-One Titan truck. Wondering why it’s not red like most firetrucks you see on the street? The FAA requires airport fire engines to be lime-yellow for higher visibility. #ARFF

These three Sikorsky CH-53 Sea Stallion helicopters were hot refueling at TUL today. Hot refueling is when a helicopter is refueled with its engine(s) running, which helps for a quicker turnaround. As a safety precaution the airport’s rescue and firefighting team was on standby.
