There are many ways to say “always” in Korean. 늘 = always 항상 = always 맨날 = always, every day 언제나 = always 맨날 is the most common in casual speaking. 늘 and 언제나 are more poetic/formal, 항상 is more neutral :)

어떻게 and 어떡해 sound the same but they are different expressions. ☝🏻어떻게 = how ✌🏻어떡해 = 어떻게 해 = how to do, what should we do So when something bad happens, 1️⃣ 어떻게? = How did it happen? 2️⃣ 어떡해? = Oh, no! (Pronunciation is the same.)

-아/어/여 가지고 is the same as -아/어/여서 (meaning: because, therefore, so) * 아파 가지고 = 아파서 (because I’m sick) * 비싸 가지고 = 비싸서 (because it’s expensive) * 늦어 가지고 = 늦어서 (because we were late) But “가지고” is only commonly used in casual spoken Korean.

바꾸다 = to change (something) 바뀌다 = 변하다 = to be changed / to become different / something changes (변하다 is from Chinese so it just sounds more formal.) But when talking about a person “changing”, you say 변하다. 너 변했어. = You’ve changed.

보고 싶어요 = I want to see / I miss someone (only people) 그리워요 = I miss (someone / some place / a point in the past) 그리워해요 = Someone (usually not myself) misses someone (only people) #LearnKorean #TTMIK #한국어

Here are the general differences : ) 할 수 없다 = I can't do (something) 할 수는 없다 = (I can do other things, but this one, I can't do it.) 할 수가 없다 = (emphasizing) I just can't do (something)

There are various exclamation forms : ) 예쁘네요! = I see that it is pretty! 예쁜데요? = I think it's pretty! What do you say? 예쁘다! = It's pretty! (talking half to yourself) 예뻐요! = It's pretty! (talking directly to the listener / less of an exclamation)

* 내가 하는 일 = what I do * 내가 한 일 = what I did * 내가 하던 일 = what I used to do * 내가 했던 일 = what I used to do (almost the same as 내가 하던 일, but there’s a slight more emphasis on the fact that it was in the past)
