People say our garden has a dandelion problem. I guess that depends on how one defines ‘problem’? I rather like them…
@jackwallington
what do you think?
Can't help feeling we've got something wrong when councillors are citing IPCC reports as evidence of the need to destroy biodiverse ancient orchards in the name of climate-friendly public transport...
#CotonOrchard
Something's definitely wrong with the global food system when animal flesh - with all the costly husbandry and welfare standards that should involve - becomes the budget alternative to something fabricated from peas, beans and rice...

@bmay
As with an element of the so-called footie fans - these people are just malcontents in general, stuff like lockdowns, Brexit and the Euros are merely topical canvasses through which to express their generalised sense of rage and inadequacy
Just heard/felt what seemed to be a big

at soon after 04:15. Reminded me of when Buncefield oil depot went pop. Anyone else in Herts/North London area know anything?
Still don't fully understand how a Prime Minister can unilaterally decide to put his big red pen through a project like
#HS2
without it going to a Parliamentary vote first?
@fishemansblues
@rachaelvenables
@LBC
I guess they just want the gallery to end its sponsorships with oil companies etc. I don't agree hugely with their methods either, though. I think handcuffing themselves to the front door just before opening time would probably achieve the same result without endangering the art.
Possibly the perfect analogy for the current state of the UK... nothing screams patriotic generosity like serving a limited number of scones to first class passengers only...
To help celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III this weekend, we'll be giving out a limited number of scones onboard our services to London to First Class passengers tomorrow and Friday 🇬🇧
The question is - do you put jam or cream on first?
WE ARE NOT WINNING. Former Vice President of the USA says the people who run our world and economy are driving us towards global cataclysm. Where are our cultural and political leaders? They need to raise the alarm and demand action NOW
#ClimateEmergency
The future is now... Just across the Channel, tensions between drought-stricken farmers and protestors over alleged 'water grabs' already driving violent confrontations in SW France, Spain...
@rhiannonlucyc
To be honest, some of those ghostly old miners' cottage ruins around Llanberis etc could easily pass for a LOTR set in the right weather...
Longer this crisis continues, the more ridiculous it feels that national and global economies are in hock to the price per barrel of a dangerous and outmoded source of energy that we don’t even need. Imagine if we’d spent the decades since USSR collapsed prioritising renewables?
@AllegraCOP26
I believe it was none other than
@GeorgeMonbiot
who coined the term 'micro-consumerist b0ll0cks' for this kind of thing? Leave the dishwashing messages to Unilever and co - we need system-level change, and we need it yesterday...
@KarlMathiesen
Just the most ridiculously friendly people. There was a raucous party at two of the tables on my train home - I assume they were lifelong friends but turns out they’d only laid eyes on each other for the first time when they boarded the train at Central. Glasgow is a great town.
‘If the media does not pull its socks up sharpish, the blame for a disastrous Brexit will be directed at everyone who warned that Brexit is likely to be disastrous’ (

Was fortunate to see
@PeteButtigieg
speak on a panel at

- he was really impressive. Would love to see a Harris/Buttigieg ticket just to trigger the conservatives as much as possible, if nothing else.
@CAupdates
@unitedutilities
Yep, nothing screams 'conservation' like burning the heather and persecuting upland raptors, just so a few people can blow some grouse out of the air. Thank goodness for your organisation making everyone see sense!
@jonburkeUK
Just back from a week in Normandy, the flawlessness of all French road surfaces from autoroute to single-track and total absence of roadside litter made driving off the ferry in Poole feel like returning to a failed state.
@BrentLeeSDCIC
You do know the Nobel Prize is all part of the same globalist conspiracy as COVID/5G/Chemtrails/Andrew Tate's arrest/climate emergency etc etc etc?
None of this will surprise the likes of
@KHayhoe
but still an immensely frustrating read as climate-related disasters increasingly make themselves felt worldwide...
At least the tragic degenerative condition that prevents Brian climbing his own stairs also means he doesn’t ever have to discover his first wife’s head in Amy’s upstairs fridge

Positive sign of intent, however I vote that we don't install solar on any more farmland until the roof of every Amazon depot, IKEA store and other warehouse in the land is plastered with panels

I agree, been thinking for weeks now that a National Health day needs to come out of all of this, when we celebrate and fundraise for these essential services. If we can have a dedicated bank holiday for VE Day anniversary, surely we owe something to the NHS too?
My jaw still involuntarily drops when I remember that consumer demand for a certain class of unnecessarily heavy and energy-intensive passenger car was (according to

The only 'suspicious' thing about the Maui situation is how the exploitation of the Hawaiian islands for agriculture, tourism etc has totally messed-up water access. Coupled with flammable invasive grasses overtaking former plantation land etc. Read this!

Just plain exhausted by a lot of sleepless nights, I would think. That or reading Hunt's notes over his shoulder and sending coded messages to Tufton St/hedge fund managers via the power of blinking?

Unlikely, let's face it. Personally I'd love it if convicted criminals' faces were permanently banned from the media thereafter. Again, sadly unlikely.

The harassment would be even more sinister if it wasn't like being stalked by multiple versions of Gareth Keenan... did you "match the description" of someone they were looking for in the same way Sarah Everard "matched the description" of someone Wayne Couzens was looking for?

Bored of reading about the 0.1% ‘rewilding’ their country estates when they aren’t out grouse-shooting or jetting to their Caribbean holiday homes. I want to read about a network of thousands of normal people who are rewilding their normal back gardens in one vast network.
If

is designed to soften attitudes to that lifestyle/cult/sect/religion/pyramid scheme, I’m not sure it’ll work. No alcohol or sex before marriage is one thing, even a 10% month tithe to a mysterious investment fund, but NO TEA/COFFEE what the actual f—k?!

PS: Our 80yo neighbour who has lived in this village his whole life talks of a time when walking over the Downs in the summer meant constantly watching one's step as there were so many butterflies sunning themselves. Shifting baseline syndrome is such a dangerous thing.

We can only imagine what a Rishi freed from the shackles of having to placate the more loony extremes of their voter base (who voted Reform in the end anyway) might have been like
