The future of wearables truly lies in custom molding.
Each of us is unique — so why would our technology be any different? As 3D scanning and manufacturing become more accessible, we're moving towards a future in which wearables are as individual as we are.

Higher wearability: lower user effort/friction (easy charging, discreet) + increase usage incentives (cool factor, adds value)
But to achieve human-machine symbiosis wearables must be self-powered via energy-harvesting, and have real-time, closed-loop interventions
I think “wearable technology” as an industry has struggled because so many companies focused exclusively on the “technology.” We asked ourselves 10 years ago what we might create if we started w “wearable.” 🧵👇🏼

Assuming the risk of infection is solved, the longevity of implants (and the companies behind them) isn't the only concern. Upgradeability matters too.
As technology evolves, we shouldn't have to conform to outdated hardware. We need more non-invasive solutions that leverage

It is primarily composed of fatigue-resistant muscle fibers, with a smaller representation of fatigable fibers. The anterior portion

My take: they’re gonna have to be hardware agnostic and focus on data analytics and recs. Non-invasive glucose monitoring using optical (rockery photonics) or electromagnetic (hagar tech) sensing is gonna replace needle-applied CGMs. These are non-trivial, esp for a sw company.
