Alright, let's set the record straight on this because I'm the assistant in this and this comes back every few years. First off, yes there is a tissue in my hand. I worked with Jen over several years as her set assistant. I was specifically hired to oversee her camp and --

Sorry to disappoint, there's nothing further to the story. If you want to hate on someone then unfortunately, that's your right but this isn't it. Also don't worry about my well being, though set life is hard so I appreciate advocating for PAs always

No, she couldn't just walk over to a trashcan (we were surrounded by crowds) and due to the cold she was wearing leather gloves so just to keep things moving her "spitting" the gum into the napkin in my hand was just the most efficient solution--

help her on set. In 2017, we were shooting Second Act in the Flatiron district. It was winter & freezing, there were crowds and a ton of paparazzi and we were trying to film as quickly as possible. Jen usually chews gum before scenes out of respect for her coworkers--

So I would always keep napkins/tissues on hand to help her easily dispose of it. Time is everything on film sets so I'd typically give her a napkin and she would put the gum in it and then I would throw it away. I was standing right off camera with security and noticed Jen--

Still had gum so I came in quickly and held out my hand (with a napkin in it) so she could easily dispose of it since we were waiting for the light to change so they could cross the street in the scene. --

Also truly no need to follow me. I haven’t worked in physical production since 2019 and moved into a different part of the industry. Will likely slip back into obscurity now.

@BoiWitLove It comes back up and there’s always so much unnecessary debate but this post felt particularly hateful. Also if I seem annoyed in the vid it’s because I was. Working outside in NYC with aggressive paparazzi is tedious and can easily become dangerous.

@cadlymack Funny to see this pop up on my timeline. I’m the set pa in this. It’s from 2017 when we worked on Second Act. Little context, we were shooting in the Flatiron district in the winter and we were surrounded by crowds and paparazzi. I worked with Jen a lot and there’s def a tissue

@cadlymack Also last minute, we both forgot she had gum and we were right about to shoot so I ran up with a tissue and threw away the gum for her. No way she could have done it herself. She was wearing leather gloves so her spitting into my hand was just the fastest solution.

@NewMillenniumG I don’t have a TikTok so unfortunately, can’t. Didn’t post on twitter before this either.

@SoumDesigns @cadlymack Just did. It's such a ridiculous thing to blow up and very much not a big deal.

@mskimmy1979 @Phil_Lewis_ Honestly, just a specific situation as I had outlined. Also this wasn't like I had just met her we had worked together for a while at this point. Working on set and the time crunch is very stressful and notice how quick our exchange was. Set life is a different world.

@TheRyanK Ryan! I run into you on the train last week and now you’re popping up on my timeline with this video that’s been haunting me for years. I’ve been trying to stay lowkey on twitter, joke’s on me.
