It must be mental to be a Brighton fan who was there when they got kicked out of their ground, played in Gillingham for two years, finished second bottom of the entire Football League two seasons in a row and didn’t have a home ground for 14 years to watch this side every week.
If Kieran McKenna has a brain, he joins Brighton. As evidenced by the three sides relegated this year, Ipswich need massive investment to even have a chance of staying up. Chelsea and Man United have huge structural problems. Great chance to take over a stable PL club imo.
I don’t think we can underestimate how big this Wellens announcement is. Huge statement of intent, shows the club are going to back him as much as they possibly can.

The exact opposite is happening in lower league. The average attendance at a League Two fixture is now over 6100; in 2013/14, it was 4300. League One also up to 9000 from 7400 over the same time period. National League also up by 900 to 2.7k.
Grassroots and lower league football is dying in this country because people have abandoned them to become armchair fans for big clubs in the Prem that are not even close to where they live.
We caught up with O's Head Coach Richie Wellens today, to talk through Dan Happe's contract renewal, along with the departures of Paul Smyth and Lawrence Vigouroux.

Remember when this lot sacked Richie Wellens having just won the EFL Trophy and were sitting just outside the playoffs. No one will mourn if they get relegated. A waste of an EFL place.
Bolton also have a ground that holds 28000 people, not 9000. £29 is a bit steep but you can’t really expect Orient to reciprocate when our revenue generation is so much lower than theirs.
Leyton Orient are charging Bolton Wanderers fans £29 a ticket for their upcoming game on January 30th, weeks after Bolton charged Orient fans just £10 a ticket for the reverse fixture… 😡😨
Do you think there should be a price cap on tickets to watch football? 🤔

It didn’t. England got 76 in just over 8 overs. Chances are we’d have had to bat again if the weather stays good 🤞. There is a much greater chance of winning by an innings now.

You’ll see four or five goals like Hoedt’s in a season. Not saying it isn’t brilliant technique and awareness, but I’ve rarely seen a trivela of such quality, never mind in the Championship.
In the light of everything that has gone on in Norfolk football, and the players that are currently free agents, saying 🚨 HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT AT 6PM 🚨 and then announcing a goalkeeper is objectively funny
Wenger dragged Arsenal from Tuesday Club, players smashing cocaine and having gambling addictions to incredible levels of professionalism and winning 3 league titles and 4 FA Cups. His later years not as successful, but even in his first 9 years, he surpasses Klopp. Easily.
Home. What a feeling, what a night. A HUGE shoutout to the two guys who let me get in their cab back to Epping from Leyton station after the game. Sorry I’ve forgotten your names! Find me in the Supporters Club on Saturday and there’s a drink on me.

Not a bad way to bring up the 200th ground. Depor throw away a two-goal lead but the visitors were good value for their late equaliser. Cracking atmosphere + great game.

Earthquake measuring 2.1 on the goal richter scale , hit the Kassam stadium Saturday as 3 Leyton Orient players fall "injured" simultaneously in a timewasting masterclass during Oxford Utds bad 2-1 loss from another winning position ! Great witt from

Great response from Saturday.
Dominant performance and well deserved 3 points.
Devastating news with Theo out for at least 9 months but it’s safe to say Ollie O’Neill as the ability to step in. Kid was class tonight.
It’s great when you capture something brilliant. ⭕️s
The Joe Pigott sub for Drinan was baffling in the extreme. A worldie denies us all three points. Can’t get too down about that on the whole but feels like we should be putting that to bed. Barnsley are a good side in fairness.

Preston haven’t been top flight for over sixty years. Their last trophy in 1938. Their last league title in the 1800’s. They last got bigger home crowds than Norwich in 1971. Let’s not be dumb
Tempted to text the British Transport Police after seeing a grown adult not eating his crusts on his meal deal sandwich, I mean like what the actual fuck
Best of luck Ed. We’ll be forever grateful for last season. Gutted he’s gone and leaves us a man light but can’t blame Brighton for wanting to give him game-time. He will absolutely boss it at Crewe.

Leyton Orient can confirm that Ed Turns has been recalled from his loan spell by Brighton and Hove Albion.
All at the club wish Ed the very best for his future career and thank him for all of his contributions in E10.

The FT whistle scenes feat. me forgetting we are already in League One when singing “we’re on our way” and someone nearly knocking my phone out of my hand as the whistle blows 😂
I get it if the away end is not sold out and there are tonnes of seats available, but if I’ve paid + organised to sit with friends and some twat’s in my space, I’d be pretty fuming.
@emilybastow_
Tottenham is the one that’s killing me. If you get out at the overground station nearest the ground, you literally go past one of the most scabby-looking high-rise block of apartments the world has ever seen.
Lawrence Vigouroux gave it his all in an O’s shirt, for over 150 games. He’d have been an ever-present in the league but for pulling up in warmups at Mansfield and leaves with dignity and respect. It rankles to see him go but I wish him all the best at Burnley.

My recently-passed friend is a Buddy. The main thing he taught me about his club is how much he hated Greenock Morton 😭😂 Rest easy mate 🖤🤍
There is no rivalry between

and Oxford. In 2006, they needed to beat us to stay up, but in the end we only needed to draw to go up. But we won.
They went a division above us 10 years later and have been above us ever since.
Crazy how football and politics do, in fact, mix whenever it comes to something that Conservative politicians believe in. It just so happens that they believe in Premier League clubs showing support for an apartheid state on this occasion.
🚨 The Premier League is facing calls from clubs to provide a formal response to the outbreak of war in Israel, with executives at several of them unhappy at the sport's silence since the attack by Hamas.

I have never been more drunk than when I went to Forres Mechanics for my mate’s birthday. £75 for the privilege. They probably made a loss on our group of 5 😂
