I still go insane when I think about that moment in alhaitham’s story quest where he says everyone has their own priorities, and at that exact moment the camera pans to show kaveh. What the FUCK was that

In which Kaveh has a lot of eremite friends, and Alhaitham really should have expected this. He's not jealous. No, really, he isn't. Possessive, though?
That's another story.
That’s it folks, finally posting this. End notes:
- alhaitham’s “change in attitude” was absolutely bc Kaveh called him “my husband”. Man is whipped.
- the girls approached Kaveh bc they knew he was close to alhaitham. They didn’t know it was that close.
“Ah,” the man stuttered, “it’s nothing. Have-have a good night, sir.”
There was obviously something up with him, but Alhaitham only nodded.
“You two, Reza.”
And then they walked past him, Alhaitham’s come warm in Kaveh’s stomach, and went home.
The end.
On his arm was the most beautiful man Reza had ever seen. Shining blonde hair, hypnotizing red eyes he could see from this distance, elegant features and a lithe silhouette.
He was also not, in absolutely any way, discreet or quiet.
Dressed in rich colours and layered fabrics, he was flamboyant in the best sense of the word. He shone. He was not talking yet, but his very presence felt loud, impossible to ignore, drawing you in.
Reza swallowed, feeling small in his clothes.
The news spread through the room like wildfire.
“Another palace?!”
“Isn’t lord Sangemah Bay’s…”
“So he’s the one who…?!”
“The palace of Alcazarzaray?!”
Reza listened to all of this, feeling numb.
Alhaitham is well-known around the office as someone very intelligent, efficient, and cold. But also, extremely handsome. Many people, men and women, have tried to gain his affections, to absolutely to result. Not only does he not acknowledge the attempts, he becomes even colder.
But as they watched, lord Sangemah Bay smiled widely as she walked closer.
“My my, if it isn’t dear Kaveh!”
Alhaitham’s husband turned, and smiled back, eyes shining.
“Lord Dori! How nice to see you!”
and I knew it shouldn’t take long.”
Alhaitham just hummed, opening his book and leaning back on the cushion.
“By the way, are you leaving for somewhere? I saw the bag by the door.”
Alhaitham sent him a side glance.
“No. It’s not necessary anymore.”

“Haitham, where are we going? Shouldn’t you stay in there to, you know, socialize with your colleagues? Isn’t that why you’re here?”
Kaveh looked around as he talked, they’d walked out of the dining hall and into a discreet corridor that kept going.
Everyone around watched in astonishment as the two of them started a conversation, Dori completely ignoring Alhaitham, who did just the same.
“Honestly,” was saying Dori, “with all the time I’m spending out of the country, I might just have you build me another palace.”
Dori continued. “I wasn’t expecting to see you tonight, dear.”
“Oh,” smiled the newly-named Kaveh. “I’m just here to accompany my husband. You’ve met Alhaitham, I believe?”
The two of them finally turned to each other.
“We’ve met,” finally spoke Alhaitham.
Just as they were about to go and introduce themselves to their boss’ spouse to learn more and maybe get in some jabs, they saw someone else approach them.
“Is that… Lord Sangemah Bay?”
“It is! Oh shit.”
“Do you think it’ll go well?”
Then she eyed Alhaitham, who’d raised an eyebrow.
“I’m not saying we’re friends, mister Alhaitham. I’m saying you’ve got connections.”
He nodded, tightening his arm around Kaveh’s waist.
“I know,” he said. “And I’m always grateful for it.”
It took another twenty minutes before the doors opened again for the one he’d been waiting for… and the one on his arm.
Alhaitham walked in, looking incredibly attractive in a suit that accentuated his build and shoulders, but he wasn’t the one that really drew the eyes.
People have gradually accepted that Alhaitham is simply not interested, and that it’s better to appreciate the eye-candy in addition to the excellent work. He became less of an approachable interest, and more of an unreachable ideal.
Reza, however, is different.
The news shocked everyone, and was all anyone talked about for the rest of the day.
It was not a good day for Reza.

He recovered. It was fine. So his boss was married, fine, he’d show him how much of a mistake he’d made.
“You certainly seem familiar with her,” alhaitham adds, arms crossed.
“Yes we, uh, we met earlier. Miss Salma, I see you’ve met my husband, Alhaitham.”
Silence falls.
“Indeed,” said Dori. “And I thought I was set on what I thought of him, and my future course of action.”
Then she sighed.
“But I guess for you, my dear, I can consider reviewing a few things. Being ruthless isn’t always the most advantageous thing with friends, after all.”
He turned away, clenching his teeth. Had he misunderstood his boss to such a degree?
“Damn…” whispered his date, eyes locked on the figure of Reza’s competition.
His fists clenched, and he changed his mind.
Kaveh slapped his chest, blushing lightly, while Dori snorted, looking amused.
To the side, Alhaitham’s employees exchanged looks. Unanimously, they started talking about something else, cautiously avoiding looking at Reza.
He knew what his boss liked. Someone discreet, quiet, elegant and humble. Someone who would respect his time and understand when he didn’t want to be disturbed. He could have been all of that for Alhaitham, and now he would show him what he’d missed.
It was all about the appearance. He couldn’t deny the other man was beautiful, but it was certainly only that. Alhaitham had been seduced, and it was a superficial relationship based on physical attraction. Reza could offer him more than that.
It was Reza’s turn to blink, and he felt his stomach drop to his feet. The embarrassment was almost too much to bear, and he walked out of the office without a word, leaving his colleague alone in there.
The dinner party was approaching, and everyone in the office knew of Reza’s plan. Come to the party with someone, looking like everything his boss could ever have wanted, and outshine this husband of his.
He was prepared.
(On the way home, Alhaitham took advantage of his position near Kaveh’s neck to leave to prominent marks that would be very hard to hide, telling Kaveh in a low voice to stay quiet, they were in public.
Just in case some people didn’t get the message.)
The rest of the office supported him… outwardly. Inside, they were mostly eager to see who exactly their boss had married, how they compared to Reza, and watch a show.
He turned to his colleagues, who all looked back and forth between him and the newly entered couple, and smiled thinly.
“It seems I was mistaken on what’s important for our boss, and I lose on that front.”
They all understood what he meant.
They hurried to reassure him, assuring him that appearance wasn’t as important as personality, or abilities, and feelings born only from physical attraction would always be fragile.
(No one tried to tell him he was just as attractive, and he felt it bitter in his mouth)
The night of the party arrived. Reza was dressed elegantly, in muted colours and modest clothing. He arrived fashionably late, wanting Alhaitham’s eyes to turn to him when he entered, to see what he could’ve had.
The rest of the office looked up in anticipation when he walked back, and he couldn’t meet their eyes. They took in his stoic face and trembling lips, and wisely said nothing, while also eagerly waiting for their colleague to come back and share the gossip.
“You think I want to be here? When I could be at home, enjoying a book, or having my way with you? This is a waste of my evening.”
Kaveh slapped him on the chest, trying to keep his cheeks from blushing, to no avail.
He’s never approached Alhaitham flirtatiously, never made advances, always made sure his work was flawless and efficient. And he knows it works. Not only had Alhaitham once commended him on, which he had never done before, it was always Reza he called on when he needed something.
Lord Sangemah Bay was a very important potential business partner, one of the richest person in Teyvat. Unfortunately, her personality clashed with their boss’, who was in charge of brokering a deal with her. It was not very promising.
However, when he walked in, Alhaitham was nowhere to be seen. Swallowing his disappointment, he went to get himself a drink, keeping up a superficial conversation with his date, someone he’d went on a date with a week ago.
They had all let go of the idea that Alhaitham might choose them, so seeing someone who might have a chance with who they thought was untouchable was like watching a romantic movie playing before their eyes, and they all cheered him on.
Reza knew Alhaitham appreciated him, and it was the first step into proving he was the perfect partner for his superior. Efficient, discreet, and never bothersome.
The rest of the office, surprisingly, supported him.
This time, Alhaitham looked up.
“If I didn’t what?”
“Well, if you didn’t, um, know who to bring?”
Alhaitham blinked at them, looking nonplussed. Flustered, they spoke again, throwing a look at Reza.
“Then, who are you bringing, sir?”
Eventually, a dinner party was announced for all members of the company. Alhaitham, as the head of their branch, was obviously going to attend, and it was specified on the invitations that not only were plus ones accepted, they were encouraged.
Reza, pretending he hadn’t known about this, lowered his eyes shyly. He knew Alhaitham appreciated him, he was the closest one to him in the office, the only one in fact. Who else would it be but him?
“I do, as a matter of fact,” answered Alhaitham without looking up.
“Plus,” Alhaitham added, pulling Kaveh closer, “I’m satisfied having you on my side. I wouldn’t want other people to intrude.”
Kaveh glowered at him despite his red cheeks, but leaned into him all the same.
So the next day, while he was in Alhaitham’s office handing him some documents, another employee came in, acting nonchalant.
“So, sir,” they asked. “Do you have someone in mind for the dinner party?”
He joined his colleagues, who were standing in a section of the large room, ignoring the looks they threw his way. He made sure to stand in view of the door, in the hopes of being the first thing Alhaitham would see walking in.
Reza looked up just for a second, looking hopeful, before humbly looking down again. It wouldn’t do to appear too eager.
“Oh!” Said their colleague, excited. “That’s great! I could have suggested someone, if you didn’t, but it seems that won’t be necessary.”
“That was thanks to you, certainly not me,” Alhaitham said. “She dislikes me, she was only courteous because you were there.”
“Well, you’ve just proven my point. Getting along with people can be a strength.”
“I think I’m plenty strong enough as is.”
“You…!”
Much later, after they’ve eaten and gone to bed, kaveh found alhaitham to be particularly… enthusiastic.
“You’re mine, aren’t you Kaveh,” he panted between thrusts.
“Yes,” Kaveh whined in response, head thrown back in pleasure and hands gripping at alhaitham’s back.
“As long as it’s not yours, and it doesn’t impact work or us, I don’t care.”
Kaveh snorted, but raised one hand to thread into silver hair.
“What a cruel man,” he said with a fond smile.
Then he gasped, when Alhaitham’s right hand found his nipple, and pinched.
“How can you say that! And this is an opportunity, you know, to get to know people and make connections. I know you think you’re fine by yourself, but having people on your side is always helpful! We even met Lord Dori, and see what happened?”
Kaveh eyes went wide.
“You can’t be serious, Haitham there are people nearby, people you work with, we can’t-!”
He cut himself off with a moan, tilting his head back as Alhaitham started leaving biting kisses down his neck, hands sliding under his shirt.
“Everyone kept looking at you,” Alhaitham whispered into the skin before biting, making Kaveh keen, then pressing his tongue over the mark to soothe.
Kaveh’s own hands went to Alhaitham’s back, clutching the fabric covering muscles he knew bore the scratches of this morning.
Alhaitham finally turns towards her, and offers her a nod.
“Pleasure meeting you.”
Then he turns back to Kaveh.
“Was there anything you wanted to buy, or are we going home? I’ll pay.”
Kaveh blinked at the sudden change in attitude, but recovered quickly.
“At you, you mean,” he pants. “You think I didn’t see you coworkers looking our way? You broke hearts today.”
Alhaitham didn’t even raise his head from his neck, slowly going down to his collarbone, while his hands kept going up his sides.
“You should still try to do something worthwhile this evening,” he mumbled.
“Oh, I intend to. Maybe I can even enjoy myself.”
“Oh?”
They finally turned a corner, and Alhaitham suddenly pressed Kaveh against the wall.
Breathless, it took Kaveh a moment to respond, then he tightened his hold on alhaitham, sliding one hand into his hair and using it to bring down his head until his forehead touched his.
“You’re mine, Alhaitham,” he whispered. “Always.”
And finally, as he clenched down on Alhaitham, forcing a moan out of him, they both stilled as they released, bodies pressed together.
In the heat of the moment, Alhaitham whispered something in Kaveh’s ear, low and fervent, almost worshipful. Kaveh sighed, smiling slowly.
“You’re always insatiable, is what you mean.”
Alhaitham smiled back, a small, secret thing.
“That too.”
Then he pressed kisses over Kaveh’s cheek, the corner of his eye, his nose, back to his mouth.
“How do you want it, Kaveh?”
Of course he’s flattered, and accepts immediately.
“Alright, what is he like?”
“Uh… stoic, serious, doesn’t talk a lot but is really smart, he’s kinda hard to approach. Which is why I need your help!”
“Huh. Sounds like someone I know.”
“Let’s go home. Pleasure seeing you again miss Salma, until next time!”
“Ah… yes. Goodbye.”
Alhaitham gives her a nod (poor girl) before letting himself be dragged off by Kaveh. After they’re out the door and into the street, he asks
“So, what was that about?”
“I’m yours, all yours, only yours!”
Alhaitham groaned, speeding up and making Kaveh keen.
“Now say it again, what you said earlier. Kaveh, tell me again.”
“Wha…? What did I say?”
“Say I’m yours, Kaveh,” said Alhaitham, looking straight into his eyes.
“Ah…” Kaveh laugh awkwardly. “Nothing important, don’t worry about it. We avoided a worse situation, that’s all.”
Alhaitham hums, but doesn’t ask anything more. They’re both silent on the way to their house, lost in their respective thoughts.
“I have to go.”
“…What?”
Kaveh looks back at her, eyes wide.
“I have to save that poor girl!”
And with that, he leaves behind a bewildered Iman to run off towards Salma, who’s currently valiantly talking to an entirely indifferent Alhaitham, who has his book open, reading.
Alhaitham’s hands slid down to his ass, and squeezed. He leaned forward until their lips brushed, and Kaveh could see his blown out pupils clearly.
“I’m always serious when it comes to you.”
Kaveh snorted despite himself.
He was tempted for a second by the potential free stuff, but one look at Salma’s face told him it was best to leave quickly to escape the awkwardness that would fall. Alhaitham wouldn’t be affected, the jerk, but Kaveh would be sweating.
“Um…”
“Which means you’re in luck! I know just the way to get him to open up to you.”
And then he goes on about how she needs to persistent but cheerful, aggressive but patient… Gives her some tips to start the conversation.
“Are you really serious?” He whispered, shooting a nervous look to where they came from.
In response, Alhaitham drew back, looked him in the eye, and very deliberately ground his growing erection into him.
Kaveh groaned, his own arousal coming to life very quickly.
Kaveh could feel Alhaitham’s lips move against his ear as he talked, could feel his breath on his skin, his fingers moving inside, and he keened.
“Yes, yes, I want you, please!”
He could feel Alhaitham’s smile.
“How much will you beg for it?”
“Miss Salma,” Kaveh says again, a strained smile on his face. “So good to see you again!”
“Sir Kaveh,” she has an equally strained smile. “What brings you-”
“Kaveh,” alhaitham interrupts. “Took you long enough.”
“Took me- we weren’t even supposed to meet here!”
“Oh! Fantastic!”
Immediately invested, Kaveh turns in the direction Iman had been looking at, and feels his jaw drop in shock. At his side, Iman starts babbling nervously.
“I know we should’ve told you, but she was so nervous, and we thought, you were the best person, but-”
“You always come to the bazaar after a stressful meeting. It wasn’t a hard deduction”
“That still doesn’t- ugh, anyway. I see you’ve met miss Salma”
“Have I?” Kaveh winces, and Salma purses her lips, fists clenched.
Tbc.
Alhaitham as Kaveh rants at him: ah, my wife is back, I’m so happy to see him.
(And yes, referring to Kaveh as his spouse, even falsely, made him happy enough to pay for the meal without a fuss)
The continuation will be from this tweet!
When they thank him profusely, he feels pretty accomplished, and considers it a job well-done. He’s helped young love today.
“Oh right, I don’t even know your names”
“Oh! I’m so sorry, I’m Salma, and this is Iman. Thank you so much again!”
Kaveh waves them goodbye and continues on with his day, meeting with a client and finally heading to the bazaar for some relaxing window-shopping afterwards.
Purely by chance, a few minutes after entering, his eyes fall on one of the girls he met earlier, Iman.
Alhaitham groaned again, eyes sliding closed like he couldn’t help it, then he forced them open to stare at Kaveh as he started his rhythm again, making Kaveh yelp with the force of it.
The bed shook and banged on the wall as Kaveh’s sounds rose in peak.
She seems to be watching something intently, her fists clenched in front of her and actually whispering encouragements out loud.
“Come on Salma, you can do it… persevere, I’m sure he’ll look up from his book eventually, and then you’ve got this in the bag!”
She’s making another effort, actually reaching out toward his arm, when he gets close enough.
“Miss Salma!”
She turns, surprised and the start of irritation obvious on her face. Next to her, Alhaitham raises his head and closes his book.
“Miss Iman?”
She jumps in surprise before turning towards him.
“Sir Kaveh! I wasn’t expecting you!”
“Neither was I, but I saw you and got curious. Everything alright?”
“Oh, yes, it’s just… Salma is finally talking to her crush right now”
“Do you have-?” He started to ask, a little nervous.
“Yes.”
Alhaitham’s response was prompt, and Kaveh turned his head enough to raise an eyebrow at him.
“Oh?”
Unrepentant, Alhaitham shrugged.
“You can’t blame me for hoping.”
“I did not bring that.”
“And yet it’s there,” said Alhaitham, tone smug.
Kaveh stared at him.
“I… you know what? Nevermind. You’re terrible, that’s all I need to know.”
“And yet you love me.”
“Hm, do I?”
Alhaitham bit his ear and Kaveh gave in, laughing.
Feeling his face heat up again, Kaveh dropped the bag he’d brought and slowly unbuttoned his pants, sliding them just below his ass, and turned around.
Alhaitham immediately pressed himself against his back, and Kaveh could clearly feel the outline of his hardness.
“I do, I do!” Then, in a softer tone: “you know I do.”
Alhaitham hummed in satisfaction, then, with his mouth still at Kaveh’s ear, murmured:
“I adore you.”
Kaveh smiled, utterly content for a few seconds.
Then:
“Alright, put that buttplug in me so we can get out of here.”
Head resting on Alhaitham’s shoulder now facing back, Kaveh grinned widely at everyone and raised his arm to wave goodbye, unaware of the turmoil he left behind.
“See you next time!”
Before Kaveh could say anything else, his underwear was yanked down, and he was suddenly very aware of where he was, in the open, very much exposed. He swallowed nervously.
“Alhaitham-”
Now they nag at him every time to take better care of himself and to be more careful, people aren’t always nice and honest, mister kaveh!!)
He’s a favourite now, especially the evenings, when they bring out the liquor and he loses some of the dignified air he carries with him.
“Be gentle!”
“You’re still soft from this morning, it’s alright,” Alhaitham whispered, pressed against his ear. “Plus, you like to feel it, don’t you?”
Kaveh could have answered that with Alhaitham’s size, it was impossible not to feel it, but that would just stroke his ego.
After just a few minutes Kaveh had three fingers inside him, and he was a shaking mess.
“Please, please, Alhaitham, come on-!”
“Look at you. Weren’t you hesitant just earlier? Now here you are begging for it. Does it take so little? Do you want me so much?”
A lower voice, calm but unmistakable, cut through the noise.
“I’m afraid it’s time to go home, now.”
Kaveh turned his head, lighting up the moment he saw grey hair and a tall silhouette walking out of the crowd towards him.
“Haitham!”
Everyone went silent.
Kaveh blinked, uncomprehending at first, then flushed as he thought of the marks that must litter his neck above his collar.
Alhaitham was always so unreasonable.
The man himself tightened the arm wrapped around him, and raised an eyebrow.
“Look what you’ve made us do now,” he whispered fondly. “Really, I should’ve worn a skirt, it would’ve been easier.”
“Oh?” Alhaitham looked up, mischief in his eyes. “You would have?”
Kaveh blushed.
“Well, um, I don’t, hm.”
