Today we say goodbye to our award winning pitch at the vic! We do this to remove organic material and weed grasses from the surface. For us it’s a blank canvas to improve on last season and ensure we have the best pitch possible back in the Premier League

We’ve battled the density this week and lost…. Scarified it 5 times but the weather has encouraged the pitch to thrive. As a result we’ve triple cut today at 19mm, cut and a mark in the morning and we should be good for football

Seen a lot of bad press on the Burnley game being postponed. Just to clarify, this was vicarage road this morning… under soil heating has been on for the last 3 weeks. The heating only stops the ground from freezing, the grass will still freeze and snow will still settle

Pitch has really developed since last Monday’s game, some lasting damage from that one in corners and around edges but generally we’ve seen some good root establishment and a clear enhancement in density! Ready for tomorrow night 💪🏼🐝

These Hybrid pitches are incredible…. 67mm of rain this morning, dry throughout the warm up, leaf was bone dry meaning irrigation was required before kick off and at half time. Im not mad, it was necessary 🤣

Day 4- very tired grounds team after working until midnight last night but we have repaired every divot on the pitch from the game and cleaned the pitch of debris with the Honda rotary mowers. The 3 points make the long hours worth the effort 👊🏼

7 days after seeding we have a good consistent covering of grass. We have applied our first application of fertiliser and as a result we should see the pitch push on and improve next week. I told you all not to panic. Have faith 🤪

With a minimum of 3 weeks before our next game and after a busy December in horrific conditions, we’ve hit the pitch in two directions with our new SUPA-rake💪🏼. Clean up, light overseed and 20t sand incoming over the next few days! Then a long weekend in Milan for myself 👊🏻

Nice break now after last nights game. Today we have raked 4 directions to limit surface build up, rotary mowed to clean, stiff brush to stand up grass and flick up debris before a second rotary. Hand seeded and aerated goalmouths. 20t of sand tomorrow 💪🏼🐝

Awful renovation weather but we are soldiering on. Sand going on today and infiltration tests to see how fast water moves through the profile, as these pitches age the drainage rates decrease, always good to have data to back things up! @RawStadia
