My partner works with asylum seekers. She asks what they want to do? Everything you can imagine. Academics /doctors/ police/ artisans/ engineers/ plumbers/ care workers, nurses, restaurants. In over 10yrs; not one has suggested they want to sit on their arses and claim benefits

Oh well; it's official... My 'British' passport arrived...confirming I've been stripped of my EU citizenship and my right to free movement. I had no vote, no say, in an outcome that'll likely have a profound effect on the rest of my life. Thanks Brexiters...you w @nkers .

The 'Conservatives' have an 80 seat majority (off 43.6% of the vote). They are shaping the judiciary, media, upper house and electoral system further in their favour. Any notion of UK 'democracy', is slipping away. They're doing what the GOP has been doing in the US.
