Max is a dirty driver in combat. Always has been previously with Lewis and Leclerc but never accepts responsibility which is why he keeps doing itโฆ! ๐ก๐ก
I just wanted to thank everyone publicly for the good wishes I received throughout the weekend on my return to racing on the TOCA programme after 10 years away. I was frankly unprepared for such interest and support, an emotional weekend I wonโt forget. Motorsport fans are ace!
In researching for another article I came across this priceless letter. Sent to me and Alain Menu after an on track clash at the BTCC support race at the Silverstone Grand Prix meetingโฆ ๐คฃ๐คฃ
@BTCC
Tyres have absolutely no place on the apex of fast corners!! If this had gone through the windscreen of a following car we could be looking at a fatality. Take note,

One lap to decide the World Championship

๐คฏ It was never going to be straightforward this yearโฆ Respect to Max and Lewis but I canโt help feeling this year was decided by bad rulings and decisions by
@fia
2019 racing plans confirmed!! Back to where it all started 36 years ago..! Iโve bought my first ever race car, a Van Dieman RF 81 for Classic FF1600 racing.
Totally agree Andrew. Whoever you support adherence to the rules should be a given. As a huge fan of motorsport to see our flagship championship decided in this amateurish manner leaves a very bad taste.
Michael Masi determined the outcome of this championship. He used his discretion to interpret the rules in a way they have never been interpreted before to create a restart from which there was only going to be one winner. That is not his job.
Say hello to my new daily drive! Looking forward to putting big miles on this perfectly speccโd 991.2 GTS. Thanks so much to
@RPMTechnik
for sourcing it.

No safety car, Lewis wins. Donโt let the lapped drivers unlap, Lewis wins. Letโs ALL the lapped drivers unlap, Lewis wins. Let Michael Masi make a decision that contravenes the regulations, Max wins. Nothing against Max, just the facts.
So yesterday was a big day behind the wheel with the Ring and journey home. I can honestly say I loved every second of it! Iโm 60 next month but the love of cars and driving is undiminishedโฆLong may it continue, we only have one lifeโฆ
New bike (to me) day! Thanks to Crescent Motorcycles for building this road legal track bike. Some lovely trick parts fitted beautifully, canโt wait to get it on trackโฆ

Such sad news, Iโve known Steve for over 30 years and cannot imagine the Neal family without him. He leaves a lasting legacy on not just motorsport but so many individuals as well. ๐
It is with great sadness we report the passing of our leader Steve Neal, the visionary founder of Team Dynamics Motorsport and a true racing icon. His passion and leadership brought countless victories & championships, earning him respect and admiration. Godspeed, Steve
#RIP
Still considering the drama of Sunday at Brands. Just watched all three races back, my conclusion... all three would be thoroughly deserving champions. Spare a thought also for all the families and team personnel of all three.

Seriously..??? You clearly do not know me or the BTCC very well, I would never suggest such a thing, especially as a former driver. Please stop trying to create a story from nothing.
Ridiculous that
@timharvey7
,
@BTCC
commentator, is suggesting that todayโs racing is more exciting and better because there are crashes - completely disregarding the risk to drivers, marshals and fans in the process!

So here it isโฆ Clearly TOCA officials donโt know the difference between gaining a position and keeping a position as in my book Tom Ingram was ahead the whole timeโฆ!! ๐ก๐ก
Received in the post today, this hand painted model of my final Carrera Cup race and win. Sadly no note but Iโd love to know who sent it to pass on my thanks. Signature is genuine and I remember signing it, can the generous sender please come forward..?
@PorscheRacesGB
Awful news that Johnny Dumfries has passed away at just 62. Never mind the titles he was just Johnny to those that knew him. If you ever spent time with him youโll never forget his zest for life. RIP Johnny...
Well I have to say what a pleasure itโs been to enjoy some genuine club motorsport once again. FF1600 is where it all started for me 36 years ago and itโs still the same great racing, lots of passing and slipstreaming and a friendly paddock with no egos.
Watching the morning news and plans to introduce autonomous driving up to 37mph on motorways... Am I missing something, sounds like a recipe for disaster...?
@Keir_Starmer
So what youโre saying is as Prime Minister he should have known on Wednesday what the science would be today..? Perhaps you can tell the future but then you always were a dreamer Kier....
Yesterdayโs hot topic, Max v Lewis. 2 racers going for it. Max using his advantage of hot tyres to try and carry more corner speed on the outside of 1 and have the inside for 2. Lewis defending his position and taking a racing line so leaving no room. Also fine.

Right, weโve a full tank of gas, a Manthey GT3 RS, a 13 mile circuit, Cup 2 Rโs, a half packet of Jaffa cakes and sunglasses on! Hit it..!

Just found this from back in the day. Black and white photo of a 100 National race at a wet Tilbury. Note total lack of bodywork and rudimentary air boxes... Iโm number 73 lunging into 3rd place...!! Also Iโm wearing full leathers as Karting suits had not arrived yet.
I canโt believe itโs 30 years ago this weekend since I set off on my first of four Le Mans 24 Hour races. It was quite a race and the emotion and memories will last a lifetime. Good luck to all my friends racing this year.
