Some more anti-EV bilge from The Telegraph. A Range Rover is up to 2,280kg. A Tesla Model 3 is up to 1,836 kg. But sure, EVs are the problem and not our obsession with buying enormous cars.

@GadgetsBoy Some people don't like change, are too impatient to charge, and think EVs threaten their manhood because they're easier to drive than a manual gearbox. Obviously instead of admitting that, they'll just say about African kids mining for cobalt — as if they ever cared before.

4 hours of driving through wintery wind and rain with a toasty-warm cabin, and my grubby little Kia e-Niro still got me the 192 miles to Birmingham with 3.9 miles/kWh efficiency. That means it cost me the grand total of... £3.60. Motoring doesn’t get much cheaper than that.

Order an EV from many brands now and you'll be lucky to get it this year. Tesla, meanwhile, will sell you a Model Y for delivery in May. 😮 My hot take: it won't be long until Model 3 and Model Y are the UK's top two best-selling cars.

The Leaf’s just had its service courtesy of James at @Cleevely_Mobile . Mobile servicing is a wonderful thing! ⚡️ The washer pump had seized-up and needs replacing but other than that, it’s still going strong. Great car!

It charges too fast! No time for a sandwich. I think it went up to 220kW but I can’t be sure as I was distracted by a Taycan that turned up.

A positive EV news story! Thanks to the UK's increasingly clean grid, an EV's carbon break-even point is now 7,061 miles according to new research. That puts those "my diesel is cleaner than your EV" comments to bed quite conclusively.

Well, that was uneventful! Canterbury to York and back. About 550 miles in total. No broken chargers, no queuing, three very quick charges, and no time to eat because IONIQ 5 is a charging monster. ⚡️
