HULA Anti-Vibration Foot is now available for download on MakerWorld. It decouples the printer from the table and dampens the horizontal XY forces generated by the toolhead/bed, preventing the printer from wobbling.

HULA for Voron 2.4r2 uses the existing M3 mount to attach a modified base plate. This will allow HULA for K1 to be easily mounted and removed. Surface tension of the printed wall from layer lines should prevent HULA from falling out. 🤔

Using @CNC_Kitchen ringing test to compare HULA feet (top) and stock feet (bottom) on the P1P+AMS. Slicer settings were stock & flow dynamic calibration was done for stock feet only. No significant difference on X, noticeable surface improvement on Y.

One of my prototypes that has been testing for a long time. A horizontal plane damper for the Bambu Lab X1 and P1 series printers. It dampens the lateral movement caused by the X Y movement. As opposed to the accordion rubber dampers that makes the printer wobble.

I designed a printable TPU Feet Cover for HULA to absorb low-frequency vibrations from the printer. The gyroid infill and air pockets cushion & dampen like a pair of running shoes. The filament I used is Bambu Lab 95A TPU HF, and they are super easy to print on the A1 mini.

FusRock ABS-GF on WhamBam PEX plate for the X1C. When the bed cools to under 40C, the print just releases itself from the plate. No flexing, no scraping. Clean with IPA and it's ready to print again. #whambam @BambulabGlobal @WhamBamSystems thank you.

I was told that printer on HULA cause tall thin object to rock, leading to print failure. So I designed octo_rocket with 40° overhangs. The print completed with no issues, but I made a mistake of setting outer before inner wall... will try again tmr. #hula #A1mini

My KS X1C was plagued with random cutter false positives even after I swapped a whole new extruder setup. So when I doubt, gaffer tape all the wire in place to minimise loose connection. 🤞

It has been bugging me that a 30mm cooling fan in the electronic area will not be sufficient to cool both the rpi and controller board. Here's another overkill idea. Why not add an 8010? Silent and pushes a decent volume of air.

Read the manual twice, sort/label the profiles, bag the printed parts accordingly. But I build the tophat first. Why? Because it's my warm-up, getting the hang of things before i start the main. Wish me luck. @LDOMOTORSJASON the profiles are very well cut and made. Love it.

I tried several re-spoolers. V-spooler from @FyrbyAdditive is the one I like best, & it's easy to store away when not in use. It requires 608 bearings and an array of fasteners. I would recommend getting the hardware kit from (sharing and not an afflink)

No matter how well it works, all 3dp equipment needs some form of regular maintenance for reliable performance. I also dried the petg spools overnight with the Sunlu S4. All should be good to go.

The Voron Trident 300 build is complete. I like the clean and simple look. Currently print speed is average, limited by the flow of a ST Dragon+ HS nozzle. Till the HF heatbreak and CHT arrive. Up next LDO's Voron 0.2. @LDOMOTORSJASON thank you very much.

Sad to announce that there will be no HULA for Bambu A1. Testing different permutations has not yielded satisfactory results. The stability of the printer & structural integrity of the plastic casing is compromised when spool holder/AMS lite is mounted on the gantry.(1/3)

Initial design of HULA for A1 had separate parts to print and screw together. Decided to redesign for easier print, assembly and improved the fitting. The A1 will be sitting at the edge of the table for the next few days. No bed wire was hurt. 😉

Belted and tensioned. V0.2 looks good as the frame and gantry is properly squared. Going to take a break from it for 2 days to let it settle and then double check again. In the meantime will work on the mini SB.
