GLORY turns 35 years old this year. As such, Sony is releasing a limited edition 4K UHD SteelBook on June 4th, restored from the original camera negative w/ Dolby Vision. It should be an upgrade over the 2019 version.

Nice, this continuing reissuing of Ultra HD Blu-rays, now with Dolby Vision! Of course, it would have been nice if they'd had that with their first incarnation.

I almost read over the Dolby Vision bit. At first glance it looked like a SteelBook reissue.

apart from it costing more for buyers what's the point of a steelbook?Expecially when they are all stacked on their side

Usually new artwork and some folks appreciate the hard case. Like a hardcover book versus a softcover book. It's personal preference.

Hard to say, but the previous disc was already pretty nice. From Sony "Restored from the original camera negative, presented in 4K resolution with Dolby Vision"
