⚠️Spoiler Alert: “Wall Street analysts, investors and executives have accepted that streaming is, in fact, not a good business – at least not compared to what came before.”
Time then to turn back focus to the much more profitable business of physical media
We live in a society where you can't order Zack Snyder's Justice League on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray from Amazon US, but you CAN import it, since UHD BDs are region-free : )

James Cameron's The Terminator is coming to Ultra HD Blu-ray this August in what is likely a new 4K remastering.
Based on your preferences, you might want to get the Blu-ray Disc instead 😜
I don't normally speak of 'fake HDR' but the Aliens 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray turns out to be a lazy upscale of the BD with the white level raised from 100 to 203 nits and this is the peak brightness throughout the transfer. 🧵 /1

Here we go again... Scientists put 125 TB on an optical disc. But don't expect a new disc format, be it for 8K, uncompressed 4K or whatever. We better let Ultra HD Blu-ray be as successful as it can be.
How refreshing!

will appear on DVD, Blu-ray and UHD BD the same day as rental and purchase options on streaming platforms. One wonders if it's specifically per Christopher Nolan's wishes that streaming platforms do not get preferential treatment over physical media.

Aside from Disney Home Video, Studio Ghibli is probably the only movie publisher I can think of who've got their own format logos. After DVD-Video and Blu-ray Disc, there's now 4K UHD 😃

What's probably the only movie in 2023 to get released on Ultra HD/Blu-ray on the exact same date as on "digital" platforms looks set to become the best-selling disc of the year. At least the first one to sell out. Can this be coincidence?

It’s “shakeout” time as losses of streaming services top $5 billion. Disney, Warner, Comcast, and Paramount are contemplating cuts and possible mergers – a reflection of the “complete and utter panic” in the industry.
In the U.S., 'All Quiet on the Western Front' has apparently only been released on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc – not on DVD or even Blu-ray Disc. Could this be a new trend?
