80’s 90’s Nostalgia, Spooky Things, Video Games, Haunted Houses, Amusement Parks, God. Husband, dad, idiot. Reclaiming my childhood one EBay purchase at a time

These outdated 90’s theaters need to embrace this and rebrand as a retro theater experience. Go full on into the aesthetic. People would love it.
I found a VHS tape with TV recordings of “The Simpsons” and “Rosanne” Halloween Specials from 1989 and 1991. Words can not express how excited I am to see what commercials are on this tape. Just look at those dates!
Still can’t believe I found the infamous “Chiller” arcade out in the wild. This was one of those games you heard stories about as a kid but never actually saw:
One of many reasons “Friday the 13th 7” is the best in the series: The attention to detail: Here is a map of all the previous wounds Jason sustained from the earlier films:
My local grocery store is wasting no time getting ready for spooky season. They just built this haunted castle to display Halloween candy. I may have to claim it on November 1st.
This is a 1982 officially licensed Pac-Man ASHTRAY. Because why not use a popular video game character to promote the smooth, rich taste of Camel Lights?
This latest EBay score is almost to good to be real. More Betamax TV recordings featuring commercials but look at these titles- “Creepshow”, “Rocky 4”, “Psycho 2”, “Reanimator”, “Superman”, “Jaws”, “Predator” and on and on…
My local Rite Aid was selling a copy of Friday the 13th Part 3 with two pairs of 3-D glasses included for $1 dollar. What timeline did I even stumble into?
The deep lore of Cap’N Crunch is he battles powerful monsters known as “The Soggies” who are hellbent on destroying every innocent child’s cereal. In 1986 they released this board game:
Here’s a 1995 halloween plate featuring Robot Pepsi Machine Frankenstein. You doubt it’s authenticity? This certificate will demonstrate the extent of your ignorance.
From 1989, these are the Taco Bell glow in the dark “Ghoulish Goblets”. Legend has it you can only drink 2 beverages out of them- Mountain Dew or Pumpkin beer.
This is an extremely rare 1986 box of “Whale Lucky Charms” with a free pack of Rain-Blo Color Bubbles gum included! This is almost too much for me to handle.
From 1987, the long forgotten “Freakies” cereal. I don’t know about you but I could sure go for some honey spaceships and marshmallow aliens right about now.
Did you know that in 1988 Castlevania had an arcade exclusive sequel called “Haunted Castle”? More importantly, have you gazed upon its breathtaking poster art?
