Just because a food flavoring is safe to eat, doesn’t mean it’s safe to inhale. According to the FDA, propylene glycol is “generally recognized as safe” for certain uses in food, but NOT when it’s heated and inhaled. Lungs are meant for air, not harmful chemicals.
