spent a few days trying to optimize svg rendering on my react native app. As normal @expo comes to the rescue with their Image library. It now renders my svgs faster than the text in the component (and I can remove my home made local caching logic!).

Welp we one shotted the entire payment system for android and iOS. Literally wrote the code, couldn’t test it so we deployed and tested it in closed production. Clicked purchase and it worked. Then my chat continued to give me a level 12 hype train. Buy bitcoin, it’s a sign.

@ShyRyanW honestly a first-time-employee should get a sizable raise. Otherwise now they have skills and an open sea to interview with these new skills. BUT - if you give them a large raise they likely can't find that salary easily plus that is the money you lose re-hiring/ training anyway.

I really enjoy javascript (typescript (same thing)). No shame. I actually cannot relate with all of the hate I see for it. The abundant hate almost makes me feel like I need to conform - but I haven't personally found proof as to why.
