I have just come off the phone with Clive Juster, and the sad news is true. David McKee sadly passed away peacefully in Nice yesterday. The word genius is overused, but David was definitely a genius and I feel so lucky to have known him. RIP

There are some people you meet in life who are truly inspurational. David was one of those. He shunned awards, fame and honours as all he wanted to do was write stories to inspire and educate children. He did that for me, and millions of us. His legacy will live on.
