I heard him grunting 100 yards away. The doe came out at 35 yards and closed to 12. He followed 20 seconds later. I stopped him and he stepped backwards 3 times before i released. Fell in sight of the stand. He's never been on camera. What an incredible rut hunt!

The uncle who taught me to love hunting and the outdoors has covid induced pneumonia. He's been in the hospital several days with his blood oxygen levels decreasing. They're talking about putting him on a ventilator tomorrow. Please say a prayer for him, if you would.

I've never seen an antlered doe in person, but saw a deer on the side of the road while on the way to reset a trap. Checked it out on the way home and was pretty surprised.
