Back in the early 80s a couple from Sligo went to Liverpool for 5 days. One of the nights they saw a sign for magical mystery tour leaving at 8am back at 10pm. Sounded a bit of laugh so hopped in and headed off ,ended up getting ferry to Belfast and bus headed on to Bundoran.😂

FairPlay to GAA players travelling to play all over the country this weekend .No fun,compared to when I was in with the 2002 Sligo panel.Travelling on bus having the craic,soup & sandwiches before the game,back on bus & more craic until management heard I was on & kicked me off.

Only 25 allowed at a funeral but ok to have 32 in a classroom. Schools will now take bookings from funeral homes to have wake in classroom of their choice. You can write your condolences on our interactive whiteboard @NaAmadan

Imagine a proper train to Galway from Sligo. One hour . Would seriously alleviate accommodation problems in NUIG also. Hard to believe it never was properly discussed over the years. Shows how useless our politicians have been.

At the 2015 Fleadh myself and another popular Sligo scamp asked Marty Morrissey for a picture in the garavogue. I proceeded to hand him my phone to take a picture of the two Sligo lads. We all had a good laugh . Marty gave me back the phone in 2020.

When we played for Merville in the last century , there was no chance for local girls to even play football in the area. Brilliant to see so many women get the opportunity to play and also move on to an even higher standard with @SligoRvsWomen .

Playing Gaelic and soccer was glorious in Summerhill this time of year . Maximum 3 days of school per week . Some classes you could just bring in a gear bag and walk out half way through even if you didn’t have a game.
