My take on the rebrand is it’s easy for kids (or anyone) to draw and that encourages fan art and guerilla marketing. .\ leans into meme culture and has immediately created an emoji for the competitions. State Feds and comps sharing a logo got old quick. Glad we’ve moved on

Plenty of evidence in A-League that winning alone can’t build your crowds. Entertaining football, match day experience and that sense of pride, purpose and belonging all matter. PK can win but can he build an aura. Staj has the authenticity but can he win. Two compelling hires.

Was at a random women’s second tier game in 2017 and saw a 15yo kid running around who looked like a good player. Asked four NPLW coaches if they’d heard of her, none had. Thankfully one took my recommendation to recruit her, because she’s now made the #WLeague . A true bolter!

Main disappointment about #AsianCup2023 was even with 100% job security the narrative quickly became manufactured siege mentality with a few straw men along the way. Hopefully our Olympic qualifying campaign in April will be more optimistic and a showcase for many 2026 seniors.

Quite extraordinary to think that incoming Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou was coaching a semi-pro side bound for relegation as recently as 2009. What he’s achieved since is remarkable and his appointment at Spurs is due reward for decades of hard work.
