Australia is already a nuclear nation, but there's a form of nuclear technology that we’ve never embarked upon. Next-generation, zero-emissions nuclear energy. In fact we have 70 years of nuclear experience and are known as one of the world’s most sophisticated nuclear nations.

📈Your electricity bills have soared by 15.9% during Labor's first 12 months in Government and it's only getting worse. Household electricity costs will skyrocket again by up to 31.1% on July 1. That's another $564 burden on your household budget. #auspol

Electricity prices continue to spiral out of control under Labor, with further increases to whack small businesses by an additional $1151 and families by $463. Labor cannot be trusted to reduce energy prices. #auspol

4/4 On AUKUS, how does the Prime Minister think his public mocking of zero-emissions nuclear energy deepens relations with the US and UK when these allies consider nuclear energy as a critical enabler to achieving their net-zero targets? #auspol

Australians want low-cost, reliable and clean energy to power our future. Many of our trusted international allies are embracing the technology to deliver on climate targets and keep energy prices low. The Albanese Government refuses to even have a conversation about it.

The rail service between Brisbane and Nambour is woeful. That's why I'm building a unity ticket of all three tiers of Government, the business sector and the community at large to secure full duplication all the way to Nambour, designed to accommodate fast rail in the future.

The Albanese Labor Government's drastic intervention into the gas market defies basic economics. The market is already reacting. And it's not good news for households or businesses. This is bad for investment, bad for customers and bad for jobs. #auspol #energycrisis

2/4 Suffocating gas supply erodes, rather than deepens, trust in Australia as a supplier and threatens the energy security of our trusted allies. Rising sovereign risk from the government's market interventions is a turn off for inbound foreign investment not a turn on. #auspol

AGL announced it will close one of Australia's largest power stations more than a decade earlier than planned today - leaving a gaping hole in our energy market. Labor has no plan for new dispatchable, on-demand power key to keeping power prices low and the grid reliable.

Labor cannot be trusted to reduce energy prices. Labor’s message to struggling households is that energy prices will continue to rise and inflict pain, but it could have been even worse. They boast about blunting a knife that will still cut deep into family budgets. #auspol

After 100 days in Government, Labor has failed to deliver grants to 800 Australian manufacturers to support them to lower their energy costs and cut emissions. These grants were approved earlier this year. Labor must give these business certainty and honour the investment.

Another day in Parliament and another question snubbed by the Albanese Labor Government. Labor's refusal to give a straight answer to questions about its promise to reduce household power bills by $275 by 2025 is a sign of total disrespect to Australian families.

Labor's climate change bill paves the way for a new era of green lawfare in Australia and will drive power prices higher. Labor’s legislation is a direct attack on Australian jobs and the prosperity of our regional communities.
