I wish more people understood that the way the police state conceptualizes what counts as "violence" or a "crime" is a huge part of why we get the idea that men are dangerous and scary and that women are pure. And how racist and transmisogynistic the whole framework is.

it just goes to show how poorly people understand intersectionality — it can still be rooted in misogyny while more severely impacting poor and working class women especially women of color that doesn’t negate the fact that women as a CLASS are being targeted
