I'm actually displeased with the JLPT N2. I am happy that I learned new words, grammar and I completed an objective which was increasing my Japanese language ability. But the content of the test was impractical and pretentious. The worst was: 90% of the test was not in my books.

Shinkansen trains are too friggin' good. Airplanes can be faster, "less travel time" but it takes a 3000 years to get to airports, you have to go through airport security, Boeing is working hard to kill you, etc. You can board and get off a shinkansen in the middle of big cities.

Is this something new and/or only in Japan? I don't know because we haven't bought pans and pots in 4 years. Now they sell pots and frying pans without the handle which facilitates storage, you can buy extra handles too. We bought the set at a Donki in Osaka for ¥5,000 #良いすね

Before coming to Japan, the best advice I got from a friend was: Our culture is very different from theirs, you won't understand some things, don't be stupid enough to think that you'll be able to change how things work over there. And we've been happy in Japan.

In order to become a permanent resident of Japan or to obtain the Japanese citizenship you have to learn the codes of the saizeriya menu. They recently changed the menu so be sure to verify what you're learning ~in perfect pitch accent of course~

Last year was the same assholery by the venues where the JLPT takes place. Both places are universities. What is it about garbage that it's so difficult to handle? How much money are the organizers saving by not allowing proper disposal of garbage? The signs even say JLPT 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

Before going for a run I stopped at an eyeglasses shop very close to home. The attendant was super nice in helping me choose my glasses, had my prescription checked and told me that they would be ready in 20 mins. I was expecting something like come back in 4 business days 🤭
