-4L for the day. Went from +3L to -4L. Had predicted the top at 18200 perfectly but then got a TG notification of buying 18100 CE that got be biased. Learning - turn off all notification while trading. No regrets, a good learning day.

My answer - spend 3 months mastering python - next 3 months collecting data, backtesting strategies. Find 4-5 strategies that are non correlated - next 3 months live testing and improving execution 9 months -> full time trader without losing your job. Realistic.

Thread - What's T+0 line? In short, the breakeven at expiry for 2 strategies might be same but 1 can bleed far more with the movement in underlying. Flatter T+0 line is better. It indicates lower MTM losses on large movements and gives time to adjust. #Options #Trading

#Brotip - To free up margin blocked from your SL orders in zerodha, place GTT orders instead of regular orders. Downside - GTT orders are not placed with exchange, hence if zerodha goes down it will not place your SL on time.

Learnt 👇 from a wall street quant trader. Think physics. Acceleration, velocity and distance. For a forward moving object to reverse, first the acceleration will come down then velocity and then the (change in) distance. Partial exits using this logic.

#brotip for 9:20 straddlers (1st one is obvious, 2nd will make pnl much better but will need some thinking) 1. Diversify 9:20 straddle with other timed entries. If you're doing 30% sl each leg at 9:20 then do the same at 10:20/11:20/12:20/1:20. Pick any time but stick to it.
