I understand that screener access is a privilege and not a right. But what I do find concerning is emailing journalists at an hour where most of us are not checking emails to tell us about an embargo on a show you did not provide screeners to that is out to the public already.

For @cosmopolitan ’s first issue of 2023, I pitched a wild idea (and my 1st essay for the mag): let’s bring back DVDs. As you can tell, physical media is important to me, so I loved being able to do a little ode to it while also writing about how it could save the history of TV.

#TheMarvels is a MARVEL! A fun and cosmic good time with a lot of surprises in store. Couldn’t stop smiling and laughing the entire time. Has some pacing issues due to its short runtime, but fulfills its job of highlighting a wonderful trio! Iman Vellani continues to be a star!

One last thing. I can’t say much (obviously) but some of these subplot endings…they set up season 3 in a way you didn’t expect. Will be interesting to see how the audience reacts to it. It might be a little divisive, but you’ll definitely come back to watch what happens next.

#AvatarTheLastAirbender episode 1 is pretty solid, but it just doesn't have the same spark of the OG series. Some of the changes just feel odd right off the bat and some of the acting takes you out of it. Dallas Liu as Zuko is incredible though! But otherwise...kind of meh...

Bridgerton season 2 is a solid continuation to the show. Hopefully, the show will find the right balance with its other characters in season 3. But the main storyline between Anthony and Kate makes the rest of the chaos oh so worth it.

And then there’s also what happens to the other characters. At times, it feels like there’s so much happening at once, that it’s almost unnecessary. Some moments will mean more to the fans of the books. But Polly Walker as Lady Featherington has the best side plot this season.

And, on top of that, if you didn’t get that email with embargo because you are not on that list or don’t work with publicists but you still are doing work about it, then you’re not held to that embargo at all causing another set of issues for journos who did get it.
