With 17 states now joining Texas to overthrow the results of the election, it is now clear that outright opposition to democracy is not at the Trumpian fringe but rather at the outright center of the Republican Party.

I think a big question for reporters is how you treat the Republican Party and those if its members who have shown they oppose democracy. I mean, would you interview Jefferson Davis about taxes or health care? Does any position they hold matter more than rejecting the election?

People defend Pres Trump’s actions as part of the process. So let’s look at what that process is: 1. Convince tens of millions of Americans that the election system is rigged. 2. Hire several bat-sh&t crazy attorneys. 3. Ask judges to throw out millions of mostly minority votes

In @CNBC interview, Pres. Trump continues misstating trade deficits. Trade deficit w/ China was -$335b in 2017, not $507b as the president said. Deficit with EU was $101b, not $150b in 2017. I suppose this is getting boring, but I quixotically believe the right numbers matter.

Every time I see a weak politician asking to stop Trade talks or the use of Tariffs to counter unfair Tariffs, I wonder, what can they be thinking? Are we just going to continue and let our farmers and country get ripped off? Lost $817 Billion on Trade last year. No weakness!

The ability of a troubled Florida high school student to buy a gun immediately upon landing in Colorado and terrorize an entire state and shoot herself is almost exactly what the founding fathers must have had in mind.

So much talk about people receiving more than their salary in unemployment benefits. So little talk about the millions who receive less or who have been denied claims or aren't eligible. My guess is the extra $600 will play only a small role in keeping unemployment elevated.

In thinking about what Yellen’s nomination means for the advancement of women in politics & economics, it’s worth noting that any 2 items on her resume should be enough to qualify her for the job.

I wish Pres Biden had emphasized that our argument is not with the Russian people but with the regime. Aiming to leave “Russia weaker” won’t play well in Perm and will buttress Putin’s domestic propaganda. Some expert in State must have asked for that line.

In November i celebrate my wife’s birthday and our anniversary. This year is special. She turned 58 and we’ve been married for 29 years, or exactly half her life. That means she’ll live to 116. My math is good, right?

New word: maskabout—the process of walking back to your car after you realize you’ve forgotten your mask. Usually ten steps, but more with age. Open to other suggestions.
