This is Shadow. He is my nearly 9 year old cat who my parents now leave in a dog crate for 24 hours a day, only coming out for minutes when the litter box needs to be cleaned. This morning I snuck him into my room, this is the first time in months I’ve seen him happy.

Something I’ve learned after having a lot of friends with “fast metabolisms” is that they actually just never eat. Like they eat whatever they want in front of people and then barely anything at home. Or they eat whatever but in tiny portions
