Jokic was arguably better last postseason: More PTs, REBs, STLs, BLKs on higher efficiency BUT instead of Jamal, MPJ, KCP and Bruce Brown... he had Monte Morris, Austin Rivers, Barton and Bones If you're only realizing his greatness now, you've missed plenty of signs

3/ +/- Embiid is 27-26 in the playoffs But he’s personally 32-19-2 (when you look at +/-) In other words, if his teams just played even basketball in his limited bench minutes, he’d have a win% of 62.3% For perspective, Kobe’s playoff win% is 61.4%. Shaq’s is 59.7%

8/ Embiid playoff criticism goes beyond wins/losses. I’ll cover a few: His efficiency drops from 61% TS to 58% TS. 58% TS is also LeBron’s career playoff efficiency You know else has efficiency decreases in the playoffs? MJ, LeBron, Kobe, Steph, Duncan. The playoffs are harder

25/ Conclusion: Luka will keep winning awards. He’ll be near the top of every advanced metric But those are indictments of the awards and the metrics, and their overweighting of box scores His multi-year on/off data proves his impact on winning is far, far less than it appears
