Uniform 1.1 is now avaialble.
This update includes new Curve object types, new tooling for stylized hair, transparency painting for textures and geometry, tool override presets and many UI improvements.
Uniform can create low poly game assets by sculpting directly to textures, creating the normal map in real time. No high poly meshes, no retopo, no baking.
These the same geometry based tools used for high poly sculpting that properly react to surface shape and displacement.
CozyBlanket 1.3 introduces the Gallery with 5 new actions, customizable UI, EditMesh commands, Extend Boundary, Draw Strips and Bridge gestures, vertex pins, transform tools and more.
Available now.
Introducing Uniform,
A new art-focused 2D/3D software designed for handling the entire asset creation process, featuring a modular scene and tool system unlike anything you've ever seen.
Uniform's displacement brushes on a 400.000 vertices sphere and a 386 vertices sphere with a real time normal map. It is hard to tell the difference between the two versions unless the mesh wireframe is visible.
CozyBlanket 2.0 is now available.
Retopology, manual UV unwrapping, packing and baking. Prepare your models for animation, video games, real-time rendering and surfacing using a single App.
CozyBlanket 1.5 will support integration with desktop software and pipelines by streaming geometry over the local network. No exporting or moving files between devices.
Now in beta, expected release in the upcoming weeks.
CozyBlanket 1.4 includes partial visibility, configurable opacity and occlusion, grid fill, auto relax, configurable viewport resolution, build triangles and loop information actions, document versioning and more.
Available now.
Uniform supports deforming the low poly mesh after sculpting on its texture. Existing detail smoothly follows the deformation and the texture remains editable.
CozyBlanket 1.2 includes subdivision detail reprojection, gestures for creating cylindrical shapes, importing editable meshes, stl exporting, apply mesh symmetry and more.
Available now.
Uniform 1.1 will introduce GeoCurve, a new object type and toolset for creating stylized hair and other effects based on high resolution splines. Now in beta.
Testing the full low-poly game asset workflow in Uniform. This includes ploy modeling, normal map sculpting, PBR texturing and lighting.
The final model can be directly exported to a game engine as a glTF file.
In Uniform you can use multiple viewport panels to design the final render views for a project presentation. All viewports can have independent shading modes and allow scene and camera settings editing.
This demo is running on a 2018 3rd gen iPad Pro.
CozyBlanket is now available.
You can download and try it for free. Exporting, saving and extra retopology features can be unlocked perpetually with a single in-app purchase.
We're actively developing a PC version alongside the iPad release but limited resources mean we need to focus on a platform first.
We are also seeking feedback from studios about production pipeline integration and C++ API design. Interested for your studio? contact us please!
CozyBlanket 2.1 introduces Papercraft Mode. Create printable paper figures, cosplays and hardware prototypes from high poly 3D models.
Available now in Lite and Standard CozyBlanket versions.
Uniform uses Cycles for high quality viewport preview rendering and final image output. Cycles is fully integrated with Uniform's object types, lights and layered materials.
Learn how to make this low poly sushi scene using Uniform for iPad. The final result can be directly exported to a game engine including UVs, textures, PBR and normal maps.
If you have experience with paper craft, plushies or cosplay making, you can contact us for joining the CozyBlanket 2.1 beta.
We are interested on your feedback to make the workflow as easy as possible, especially when using equipment like industrial printers or plotters.
CozyBlanket 1.5 includes network features for desktop pipeline integration, Python API and CLI, redesigned store with new pricing options, image 2D targets, better gesture accuracy, performance and more.
Available now.
Uniform tool and layering system is now fully GPU accelerated.
You can use large sculpting and painting brushes, surface filters, deformers and procedural layers on meshes with millions of polygons without any input lag or shuttering.
Uniform's UI uses floating panels that overlap the workspace. The UI can be freely scaled regardless of the display size.
You can use all available screen space for extra viewports and references without having to move your arm to reach menus scattered across the screen.
Uniform supports a global color palette that can be referenced in fill layers. This is useful for color adjustments and creating asset variations.
The color palette can be edited from a single place and all textures and painted vertex data update accordingly.
Uniform's new GPU backend enables procedural displacement layers for sculpting.
You can add high frequency detail non destructively and paint its area of influence. This detail will always export at maximum resolution and allows further editing by stacking more editable layers.
Uniform tool system was designed to support 3D spatial input, so we unlocked the ability to freely move the camera using Multi-Touch while working with any tool.
We are enabling a new public beta wave for Uniform. We have been working on fixes, performance improvements and the ability to import existing models for texture painting, normal map editing or high poly sculpting.
The first version of Uniform's documentation is now available in our website, including step by step tutorials with videos for each feature. More tutorials will be added in the future.
When Auto Relax is enabled, CozyBlanket tweaks the vertices positions after each operation to keep an even distribution of quads.
This can be used to modify the topology density without manually adjusting each loop spacing.
Already available in version 1.4
Uniform 1.1 will support multiple consecutive operations per brush. This allows features like soft clay brushes with multiple smoothing steps or sculpting and painting at the same time.
Uniform tools are composed of multiple reusable modules that communicate between them automatically.
You can swap them individually to customize the tool behavior and create variations of existing tools.
Uniform next update will support converting low poly meshes with custom normals and normals maps to smooth high poly geometry, ready to sculpt, retaining all surface detail and colors.
Uniform now supports precision surface tools for pixel art and low poly models.
New tool modules implement a visible pixel grid and custom pixel queries for more advanced effects.
Uniform's Tool Grid is a directory-like structure directly mapped to the keyboard. You can quickly switch tools and run commands by memorizing their pattern. Customizing the Tool Grid acts as a keymap editor for fast access to custom functionality.
Uniform's new pivot repositioning and instancing modules in the Transform tool preset. We also added the option to insert instances of scenes across multiple symmetry passes.
We plan to release CozyBlanket 2 as a free update for the owners of the Retopology Pack purchase available in the current 1.5 version.
We may consider updating the monetization after the 2.0 release to keep the project sustainable (price increase, subscription, or paid updates).
CozyBlanket 2.0 introduces manual UV unwrapping, packing and baking.
Prepare your models for animation, texture painting and video games using a single app.
More info soon.
Uniform's sculpting performance allows creating strong smooth brushes for high poly meshes. This brush is running 500 smooth iterations per sample on 6.3 million vertices, erasing all sculpted detail.
Implemented Surface Influence Tool Modules in Uniform. This type of module controls the amount of effect Brushes and Filters apply, based on selection, geometry features or any other parameter.
We are preparing CozyBlanket for localization. In the next release we would like to include a Chinese and Japanese translation.
We are looking for professional technical translators from English to Chinese and Japanese who are available for freelance work. DM us if interested.
CozyBlanket 1.5 will significantly improve pencil gesture's accuracy. This allows working on small portions of the screen on iPad devices with large screen sizes.
New in CozyBlanket 1.2.
In order to create cylindrical shapes, manually draw a strip to determine the position and density of the mesh. You can then extrude the loop in both directions by crossing the target mesh with a straight line.
@toktok25069012
Yes, it can export texture sets for game engines, but file exporting is not implement yet (it already does it internally to render the viewport with Cycles).
CozyBlanket is one year today. Thank you everyone that supported us during this time! 😊
We are working hard on new cool things that we hope to show you soon. Stay tuned.🔮
CozyBlanket draws a thicker wireframe when the amount of mesh elements on screen is optimal for gesture recognition. When possible, try to work at a zoom level that makes the thick wireframe visible.

We are aware of a crash that prevents Uniform from starting in the iPad Pro 12.9 (2nd gen) and iPad Pro 10.5. We are trying to get a device to work on a fix.

Instead of spreading ourselves too thin trying to get several versions of the app to work on multiple platforms, we are putting all our efforts into optimizing CozyBlanket to the best of our ability in a single one.
Given the scope and complexity of the 1.4 update we are looking for people to expand our beta testing group.
We are looking for users that have complex project files saved with version 1.3.
You can send us a DM or email if you are interested in participating in the 1.4 beta.
We have built CozyBlanket making optimizations and design choices specific to iPad devices. Releasing an Android version would entail an amount of work that our current team of two people cannot tackle.
@leslievdb
Tool are split into surface and deformation tools. Surface tools only modify the texture output data, deformation tools move the original mesh vertices and refit the displacement.
If you are using CozyBlanket or participating in one of the betas, you can help us make it more stable by providing us with videos and reproduction steps of crashes and bugs. (via DM, email or TestFlight).
That really help us to fix bugs faster.
That said, we don’t recommend buying the current version (or any other version or product for that matter) based on the expectation of future free updates. We consider that version 1.5 offers a good value as it is now, so, consider if it already works for you.
CozyBlanket is written in C++ and GDScript. If the crash comes from a GDScript function, we can't see the call stack in order to debug it properly even if you report the crash on TestFlight.
We created a Discord server for faster communication with developers and other users, troubleshooting and sharing information about Sparseal products.

The Blender addon should work out of the box after installing. ZBrush is not as straightforward as it requires python with numpy to be installed separately. It is still experimental but we have plans to make an all-in-one package for ZBrush.
@Lavux_
Thanks! Just a note about the ZBrush plugin: by default, it won't save your project locally on your iPad (that is why it shows the "No document active" warning). If you plan to continue working on your iPad later, use the "Save Duplicate as Version" in the document popover.

Hi, this is not USD. It's Colombian pesos, according to Apple's price conversion chart.
For anyone wondering, we just set a price tier, 89.99 USD in our case, and Apple decides the pricing in all other currencies and regions.
@maddy_paddy
In order to fix this, you can either voxel remesh the target mesh with an external software into a single, manifold mesh without double sided and intersecting triangles or switch the EditMesh occlusion from automatic to manual in CozyBlanket.
