Still, there is no snow in Ladakh this winter. Leh city in Ladakh is glacier-fed, depending on the water that steaming down from Khardong-la glacier. Unfortunately, this massive glacier is on the verge of disappearing. This is alarming for future Ladakh.

The mainstay of Ladakh is agriculture and almost all villages depend on stream water from the glaciers. However, the glaciers are now receding and there is very little or no snow can be seen on the mountains above the villages. It is a big concern for Ladakh. @utladakhtourism

Kargil district of Ladakh has many ancient religious monuments belong to both Muslim and Buddhist. We should collectively consider them the heritage of Ladakh and our country, and unanimously work towards their conservation and preservation.🙏

World Tourism Day: I was wondering why Ladakh has not promoted "Silk Route Tourism". Both Leh and Kargil were very important centres/halting places during the famous silk route trade. So many remnants still exist in Ladakh, both in form of tangible and intangible heritage.
