OH THE PALACIOS ARE MESSY
#WidowsWar
W1 Review
I'm gonna start by saying, I'm intrigued and this was a great first week pero it didn't grab me immediately, even tho ang ganda from the start, the first two episodes were a little underwhelming...
(1/13)
I did not expect that at all...

Week 3 Review
Oh I bet the audience were shocked and thrilled sa mga pasabog this week! The creators did such a good job subverting our expectations!
Spoilers Ahead!
(1/17)
Plus we were introduced to Madam Aurora, Ms. Jean Garcia herself, and first scene palang ICONIC na!
Every scene Aurora is on the screen she's just so captivating, walang kupas ang acting!
(5/13)
The thrill continues as we get closer to Basil's inevitable end.

Week 4 Review
After a back-to-back twist and turns on the story and the characters, I no longer know what to expect!
(1/13)
As much as I wanted to talk about the staff, which I think are incorporated well, especially Amando, and the horror-vibes scene in the altar(?) raises questions and suspicions already. Anyways this took longer than I expected but I can't wait for this mystery to unfold!
(13/13)
Bea Alonzo is phenomenal as Sam, her character may seem like your typical kind bida but not once pumayag syang api-apihin and I love that about her. There's definitely more than the reason for 'love' bakit nagpakasal sya kay Paco, and what those are, I'm excited to see!
(6/13)
I didn't feel any connection, they just introduced then rushed through things which ended up jarring. I think they could've just done a better exposition later, start with the Palacios (which is when the story picks up) and get to learn about the past of our leads
(2/13)
Carla Abellana, who I've always found great as an actress, did great with this somewhat kontrabida-esque character. George is not purely just bad, you can see where she's coming from, I like her complexity and her motivations are interesting.
(8/13)
Tonton Gutierrez's Galvan, had really great scenes with his family and definitely raises questions.
Rita Daniela, despite having some small appearances so far, Rebecca's presence is felt, the mystery surrounding this character just makes me itch to want to know more
(12/13)
Episode 3 onwards... what a ride!
When we got to the Palacios everything just turned great, with back to back questions na pumapasok sa utak ko everytime na may maganap sa mansion nila! imo the scoring and editing got better as well compared to the first 2
(4/13)
Speaking of Paco, Rafael Rosell also did a great job with his character, or facade to his true character, because I too almost fell for it pero things are too good to be true! Unleash your Baho Paco!
(7/13)
It also didn't help na si Bea lang nakakaimmerse panoorin sa pamilya nya, and we got so much scenes with them in the first 2 episodes ๐ญ
(The opening scene was perfection tho)
(3/13)
Also I have a feeling "love" isn't the reason behind their marriage, beside the obvious greencard, the "unsuccessful" magkaanak and seeing the two not really in any romantic scenery, I'm sensing some revelations we'll see soon ๐
(11/13)
#Mallari
is hilarious... uncomfortable... and one unique hell of a ride!

Grabe si Papa P deliver na deliver sa tatlong roles! Ate and left with no crumbs ika nga!

#MMFF2023
She and her mother, Ms. Jackie Lou Blanco, are literally mothering, they are giving Hillary so I'm living for it!
Benjamin Alves, as the husband of George, Basil gives this self-centeredness attitude the first time we meet him,
(9/13)
We can already sense that Basil is pretty terrible but his sassy personality was undeniably entertaining and with his interactions with the other Palacios I could see why he is the way he is!
(10/13)
Now to Sam, Bea Alonzo's performance has been great since the beginning but this week?? SHE IS PHENOMENAL!
She was the prime and basically the only suspect of everyone in that place, yet I did not jump on the Sam!killer train! Oh boy I did not see what was coming next!
(10/17)
I have not enough knowledge to judge if schizophrenia was accurately portrayed here but I do feel it's with care and doesn't put it in a bad light. Her character is one of the most compelling, Rita Daniela plays her beautifully especially those scenes with Aurora ๐
(7/17)
Jean Garcia continues to slay her role! Aurora's reminiscing her dead son was such a heartwrenching scene that almost moves me to tears.
Her scenes with Rebecca are always good as well, I could truly see the mother-daughter bond even if they aren't
--or are they ๐ง
(14/17)
Rebecca may seem the purest and most tragic of the Palacios, pero after the dark revelations of some characters, I have my suspicions now, especially after that Tarot reading, what if she accurately guessed a death is coming because she's the one pulling the strings!
(6/13)
Anyways, such an exciting and thrilling week that answered one big mystery while leaving us with more questions!
Galvan playing mastermind, hmm
What is Louie's part in this?
I feel like we'll be knowing more about Sam-George friendship next week ooo
(17/17)
Also can't forget the scenes of Aurora and Sam that always make my heart drop! Lagi akong nawawalan ng hininga sa mga away nila!
But this scene tho ๐ I do believe that Aurora, despite not really being good, is the least evil of the Palacios.
(15/17)
Speaking of the staffs, I am already suspicious of them! I can't shake the feeling na at least one of them is the killer!
So far my money is on Phi Palmos' DJ ๐ง
(10/21)
After sampalin ni Paco, kitang kita sa mukha ni Sam ung regret na "mali ang pinasok ko"
and we see George, who clearly still cares about her old friend, her face shows it all ๐ It's just her family that holding her back to forgive Sam.
(5/21)
One of those mysteries is the character of Rebecca, we still have more to learn about her, but every scenes we got of her so far are more questions raised, such an intriguing character!
(12/21)
One downside this week, medyo tinipid tayo kay Aurora! She had really great emotional scenes during the start of the week but Ms. Jean Garcia's absence in some of the episodes was FELT. Thankfully we ended with her in a bang!
(13/13)
What is up with Royce Cabrera's Jericho, he's acting very sus so far and seems to have feelings for Rebecca but still have a feeling he's Basil's lover and he knows the killer as well.
And Amando is projecting!
(16/17)
This scene made me tear up a bit, we all know Sam misses George and they really did a great job making me miss their friendship as well kahit we only got to see a little bit of it.
Hoping for an alliance in the future where they team up to take down the Palacios ๐ค
(7/21)
Overall, Ms. Jean Garcia continues to dominate as the AURORA PALACIOS, showing more complexities to her character as we go. Bea Alonzo was acting her ass off as she deals with the continuous spiralling of Rafael Rosell's Paco.
(19/21)
And then when we got to
#WWDeadlyFall
, we witnessed Paco's death (colorized) and it was everything! The acting, the cinematography, the direction, all amazing!
(16/21)
HUGE FREAKING SPOILER ALERT!
Sam Palacios is the killer! Holy sht was it not right under our noses all this time! The fact it was revealed this early shookt my entire world, suspect list gone for now because there's definitely something bigger I need to brace myself for
(11/17)
We begin with the investigation of Paco's death, while I expected to see more of the pov of others that night, Aurora, George and Sam's interview gave us a lot of information to think about.
(2/17)
That's not even the only revelation we got... Basil freaking witnessed it and he's got a dirty plan! Benjamin Alves is wonderful in this role, don't think I've seen him on other projects but the way he played Basil was perfectly sassy, entertaining, and scvmmy!
(12/17)
Can we also take a moment to appreciate Aurora's taxidermied animals, they're so terrifying, it's like everyone's being watched every second, I LOVE IT!
(13/21)
Episode 6, despite being pretty uneventful gave us tidbits of what to expect on the characters, especially George being a pawn to the Palacios siblings.
The fight of the mothers was entertaining too, well mostly because of Aurora haha
(2/21)
Carla Abellana was also noteworthy this week, as we got to know more about her past, which was just heartbreaking ๐ It seems were gonna learn more in the coming weeks with the arrival of Abdul and the inevitable death of her husband.
(20/21)
I like that the staff have stuff that relates to the overall mystery. Is Amando really the father of Paco? Who is Jericho exactly? Is he the half-brother of Rebecca? Then bakit parallel sya sa dating lover ni Rebecca ๐ญ
(5/13)
Is Sam Palacios the real villain of
#WidowsWar
Week 5 Review & Theories
Widows Web and Royal Blood showed that the characters of this trilogy are not what they seem to be.
Everyone always has something hidden, and our protagonist here is no different.
Spoilers Ahead
(1/15)
Although we see Basil caring for George in episode 8, they undeniably look more BESTIES than lovers
Have a feeling that a boytoy of his will come in play later, maybe it's one of the staff ๐
(9/21)
As the show goes on, our sweet and nice Sam Palacios is revealed to have violent tendencies, as shown in the flashback where she almost killed someone. Her corruption arc continues and I'm here for all of it!
(11/13)
WW has been teasing his death the whole week and I am not ready- and thankfully we'll have a little bit more of the sassy and nasty but undeniably entertaining, that is Basil. There's still a lot that remains unsolved regarding his character, specifically, SINO ANG KABET?
(2/13)
We open up episode 7 with Paco bringing Sam to a 'masquerade' party without telling her what kind of party it really was ๐
We only did not see the 'wild' side of Paco, but his manipulative ways are becoming crystal clear
(3/21)
George's interview did not only give us her perspective on that night but also glimpses of who she is. Throughout this week, andaming mga pasilip sa backstory niya, and each new revelation, I get more excited to see what play she'll have in the overall story.
(4/17)
My only gripe this week was the audio at times and Jericho Rosales' Francis... di sya makasabay ๐ญ That scene was so good and then na caught off guard ako nung nagsalita na sya haha
Also sorry for the scattered review, daming ganap eh haha
(21/21)
their fight is so intense omg, nagstop ung pagbeat ng heart ko wahahaha pero im still manifesting mga Itinakda vs Maestro/Chairman when they reveal their true colors
#UrdujaWagi
Aurora was the most composed and relaxed in giving answers sa mga questions ng investigator but I will not lie, the moment she asked 'am I a suspect now?' Let's just say she went to my list of possible suspects, as f up as it was.
(3/17)
Still I feel like she'll have something to do with the mystery of it all. Maybe marami pa syang nalalaman sa asawa nya and his possible bad deeds.
(9/17)
The investigation gave us a deja vu, with Rebecca confessing yet again, and DJ accusing someone, and as much as I love to hate his character, he was actually right... Is it Jericho this time??
Right now, Rebecca and DJ are on the top of the list my suspects
(13/15)
Gotta do some resetting with my expectations after last night's episode full of unexpected revelations but here's few more highlights from this week!
(13/17)
I thought we were gonna end with that scene this week but I was wrong, they didn't waste any time giving us options to choose our guesses for the killer.
(17/21)
Throughout the week it was such a treat to witness Paco's demise unfolds, the way he spiral down into this terrifying, manipulative, man-baby with anger issues from the prince charming he was first introduced as was ๐
(14/21)
Mike Tan as "Babe" ni Basil? Sure hope so! I've only seen him in TRMD & I love him there so I am very excited for his character kahit all we know so far is present siya sa birthday party. I do think he is Babe & the other mistresses are fake-outs para satin at kay George!
(9/13)
Although my first guess was one of the staff. After the scene between him, Rebecca and Jericho, I don't think he'll be having any serious relationship with someone that is not on his level. So despite the suggestive scene between him and Peter, I don't think he is "babe"
(3/13)
And when we got to his penultimate, everything was just so intense! The near-end of episode 9 was so atmospheric, the weather, the thunder, like you could feel the end is nigh! I was at the edge of my seat the whole time!
(15/21)
Speaking of the Balays, tho I find the dad pathetic and the one to blame, I get why they project it to the Castillos, especially Matthew Uy's Edward, where his rage comes from losing the chance being with his dad longer which was probably for the better but I understand
(6/21)
Now back to the investigation. The residents of the estate all gathered... with some missing. Mercy. I was not really interested in her til this week, her being too nice is starting to feel like an act but maybe that's just my feeling detective mode speaking haha.
(8/17)
Juancho Triviรฑo's Abdul Casas, a new character introduced this week, is the investigator, and George's ex-bf! As the investigator, may pagkasungit and a bit intimidating, but not to the point that it's frustrating.
(5/17)
Lianne Valentin, back as Beatrice Royales!
I haven't seen Royal Blood dahil naispoil before I got into it ๐ญ but I have heard great things about the series and her character and she's my most anticipated character once I get to RB! 'Wag nyo na kong isunod kay Basil!
(10/13)
Brent Valdez' Peter seems to know a lot about the Palacios kahit si DJ ang mahilig maging source ng pagmamarites! Even tho I don't think he is "babe" I feel he had some kind of "transactions" with Basil. +Him knowing Jericho having Palacios blood in abangan is intriguing!
(4/13)
We spent most of the week with Sam attempting to kill George then failing, the outcome was pretty obvious besides the abangan spoiling tf out of it but the scenes were done well nonetheless.
(12/13)
