Started paediatrics after Medicine and took me a second to realise you can't just put a BP cuff on a patient. You've got to convince it won't hurt, ask them to try it on you first and hold their hands while you put a tiny spo2 clip on their hands 🤣

Attended my first medical conference! - Cardiocon Ahmedabad 2023. Felt like a literature review of everything new with cardiology right now. Thoroughly enjoyed it (when I understood) and jotted down some research ideas too… (icecream is courtesy of a pharma sales rep) 😂

A followup patient asked the nurse that she wanted to see "Dr Parth from Rajkot" today... Made my whole week 🙏🏽 I've never been more sure I want to become a doctor. Internship has it's ugly side but small things make me feel like this is the right career option for me :)

Helped calm down relatives of a new ICU patient (without giving them false hope) and I have a feeling this might be one of my few, relative strengths as a doctor. I'm still a very inept, kaam chor intern but talking to patients comes naturally to me and I like it.

For anyone learning ECGs, I'm only a 2nd yr student but my grandma's condition motivated me to learn them quite early. Here's what helped me: 1. Najeeb's lectures - explains why and how of every lead. 2. John Hampton's ECG book as rec. by @HaryaxPathak bhaj Hope it helps you!

No NEXT exam for 2019 Batch Health minister Mansukh mandaviya in his speech in Aiims Raipur said “They will not conduct NEXT for 2019 batch in this tenure” only they will have to give NEXT for registration of their degree . So 19 batch is safe from the NEXT exam currently .

Just realised the reason I didn’t enjoy neuro till now was probably because my ‘ego’ dismissed it as uninteresting when the basics became too uncomfortable for me. Reminds me of Gita talking about how you should forget your ego if you ever want to learn/gain knowledge.

My first article was - Gene Therapy for Heart Failure. We found that no one had compiled the recent advances for quite some time so all we did was do a thorough search for everything that had been done in gene therapy till 2022 and put it all together - like a summary. :)

Had everted my ankle playing football yesterday. Was limping all day, pain on weight bearing, big swelling. Went to Hanuman Temple - its Saturday. Offered prayers and got home. Honest to god, the pains gone, can walk, go up and down stairs. No pressure either. 🚩🙏🏾

Sharing a small win: Had seen a sore on nana’s foot that was still there so I told maa to take him to the doc. Sure enough, HBA1C was 8+ and now he is on appropriate mgt. Felt nice to be able to help people I care about. Makes you think all the hardwork is going to be worth it

Went to Australia last year. 1. Each and every neighborhood has cricket grounds and football pitches 2. Every university has active sports scene with multiple A to D teams 3. Even my 12 year old cousin plays in an under 15 girl's test championship as wicket keeper batsman.

@AdiG1993 Agreed and this is because of how poorly trained MBBS students are in regards to patient care. Students start cramming for PG from 2nd year and Internships are wasted in menial tasks instead of actual learning and responsibility. System doesn't enable good MBBS doctors.
