Every Glastonbury I remember what makes it so special. My favourite place in the world. People are just so kind. BUT there were moments that felt unsafe this year. I was at the Bicep stage that was shut down, and it was scary. They need to address this before a tragedy happens.

I campaigned for Labour in the last two elections. Door knocking, volunteering in head office, etc. This video and Keir's LBC interview is the reason I can't vote for the party any more. Incredibly ashamed of what they've become.

It is fairly remarkable after three government commissioned reviews (Ockenden, Kirkup x2) that identified pro-normal birth culture as a contributing factor to failing maternity services to see a trust openly advertising for posts that will promote so-called 'normal' birth

This story - of a mum who tried to conceive for 7 years, suffered 6 miscarriages, and then lost her daughter after 6 opportunities to save her life were missed — is unbearable. When she told a midwife she was in pain & bleeding she said to 'go to Waitrose'

If I learned one thing writing this column it’s that there’s a huge amount of kindness in the world if you look for it, and communities can form with individual actions. Which is something to hold on to, I think, as things seem to get progressively more difficult.

For the second piece in my @guardiang2 flooding series I went to Germany, where entire houses were washed away with the inhabitants still in them, and still people rebuild exactly as before, close to the river that killed their friends and neighbours

This is a really important investigation from @JanetEastham @gordonrayner . I think there's a strong argument for regulation of NHS executives and senior managers. Doctors and nurses have to abide by professional codes - why not their bosses?

Been asked to do spots about the return of Big Brother but declined because I don't want to be a reality tv commentator, BUT my only comment is: a HUGE part of what made the show ratings gold was the binge drinking (Kinga 😲)...struggle to see how they'll create drama without it
