On May 24, the Philippine Senate approved RA 11996, the Eddie Garcia Law. Named after the veteran actor who died following an on-set accident, the bill was designed to improve the welfare and working conditions for film and TV industry workers.
Janella Salvador and Win Metawin will star together in the upcoming Thai-Filipino film 'Under Parallel Skies' by acclaimed director Sigrid Andrea Bernardo.
The official poster for the film was designed by Justin Besana. It is set to release in Philippine theaters on April 17.

Tanghalang Pilipino is adapting the Mike de Leon 1981 classic 'Kisapmata' into a play.
The story is an adaptation of Nick Joaquin's reportage. The upcoming stage adaptation was once notably portrayed by Vic Silayan, Charo Santos, and Jay Ilagan in the original film.
