Re:
@thehotelyear
tour - good record, congrats for them
in 2013 their singer hosted a house show for us in their hometown and handed me the donation $ frozen in an ice tray at the end of the night. I looked at them, very confused. they shrugged and said “cold hard cash”
5 band bill: no
4 band bill: ugh
3 band bill: pretty good
2 band bill: awesome
1 band bill: only if you’re Huey Lewis & The News
0 band bill, stay home and snack: perfect
Took a break from recording to do our civic duty and get on the phone with the Voter Fraud Hotline.
Whatever you do, DON’T call 888-503-3526 and mess with them! They’re doing important work and shouldn’t be bothered.
our band has been around for 12 years. that is a long time.
we have tried the booking agent / support tour thing. that can be cool, but it’s just one way of many to do things.
when it is safe, I am hoping to help rekindle a FUN, DIY community that isn’t gatekeepery or weird.
I don’t even really know what being a band in 2022 is. Everything is so tentative and strange. But I do know we have a new record that I’m quite proud of and that we get to share some of it soon.
hi, noticed a few new followers on here, so:
AMERICA IS A POLICE STATE.
END QUALIFIED IMMUNITY.
DEFUND THE POLICE.
REST IN PEACE TO BREONNA TAYLOR, TAMIR RICE, AND ALL VICTIMS OF POLICE VIOLENCE.
if you wanna argue about it, get the fuck outta here.
i think we did it. we booked a tour. please come and give us an amount of money that people will happily spend on a sandwich but are hesitant to spend to see us. yes, we're playing opposite a popular band in your city. no, it's not next to your house. SEE YOU SOON <3
hey y'all -
@thefestfl
is requiring proof of vaccination or a PCR test within 48 hours prior to registration.
thank you to Tony, Randy and everyone at The Fest for making this call and ensuring that we can all have as fun and safe of a time as possible. see ya in Gainesville.
I have a lot of feelings about this. Mostly “ehhhhh” and “¯\_(ツ)_/¯”.
we’ve had a great year. our best headlining shows ever. went to a lotta new places. sold more records than we ever have & went through a pressing in a month or two. didn’t pay a dime for PR.
so I’m good ✌️
DENT is out at midnight. Some of my fondest musical memories are of staying up late, waiting for an album to drop, so if you’re excited for this one just know that we see you and we appreciate it massively.
tfw you’re on a record label that actually communicates with you, is excited about your music, and pays you on time. wow.
all hail
@laurenrecords
, the best 2 ever do it
a thing that drives me crazy: any band tweeting “take us on tour plz”
book your own tours! if you’re good, good things will happen. isn’t that the entire idea behind the “DIY” thing?
I’d also like to add that this behavior is totally fine when I or my friends do it.
File this one under "dream tour".
We'll be out in OH, MI, Cali and TX with
@braidofficial
next month for their "Frame & Canvas" 25th anniversary tour.
Also playing a few off-dates in Vegas, AZ, and NM.
Tix on sale now:
it’s an interesting time of night to check the streaming service of your choice to see if there’s a new song by your favorite semi-regional punk rock band
@FranziaMom
we toured with them in 2014 when No Coast dropped. probably the best thing we’ve gotten to do. Bob’s pedal board was as follows:
- a tuner
- that’s it
- it kicked ass
no FEST for us this year. been a joyful 11 years in a row (!) of playing the best sets of our lives. taking this one off to attend to some non-music stuff. much love to
@thefestfl
crew and congrats on the amazing lineup as always!
this album (and the RS article) kicked off a process of widening my worldview around gender in an important way. feels like it did that for a lot of folks. important, beautiful, pissed-off record that i am so glad exists
Hey
@ChaseRiceMusic
what the fuck is wrong with you? congrats on throwing a virus party during record-high COVID cases in Tennessee.
a staggering display of stupidity and selfishness. thanks to reckless folks like you the music industry may never recover.
here’s the thing about spending a decade playing in a punk rock band with your friends:
- more than likely, you’ll throw thousands of dollars you don’t have at an unsustainable dream
- it’ll be worth it
- also get a tuner and earplugs, dummy
our new record is called DENT. it comes out April 8th. we made it with J. Robbins at
@CageMagpie
and you can pre-order it from
@laurenrecords
right here:
today we're sharing a song called GOLD IN THE GREY. it's about small victories. thanks for listenin'
It is extremely important that anyone attending our shows with
@dikembedudes
this weekend wears a mask & follows basic safety protocols.
This is how shows continue to happen. Wear one or don't come. Thanks.

very proud to share the first single from our new record PIN. it's a full-band version of "Your New Old Apartment" and features Deanna of
@SincereEngineer
.

it has occurred to me that we have enough b-sides, split songs and unreleased stuff to make a collections / rarities record.
just when I think it’s gonna be a quiet year in Sigs world, a project idea comes along and now the wheels are turnin baby
we toured with Beach Slang in 2014. the vibes were weird and I never spoke to James again.
sending love and support to Charlie and anyone else affected by this absolute clown.
@RiotFest
Can we play again? Give me that Sunday 12pm small stage slot and we will rip. I’m sure you never get these messages and that this is both professional and appropriate.
I’m so happy someone caught this. My dad retired at the end of last year, between releases of the two versions of this song. Working for 35 years doing anything is absolutely wild. He and my mom still come to shows. I’m very lucky.
So I’m a nerd but I love that in the full band version of Your New Old Apartment on
@SignalsMidwest
Pin the lyrics changed to “My father’s finished with his work” from the original “My father’s buried in his work”. Made me smile when I caught it.
last week we finished tracking a new LP with J Robbins at
@CageMagpie
.
it started as an EP, but we had so much fun that we decided to write more and make it a full-length.
it won't be out for a while and
@thefestfl
is our only show this year.
thanks for sticking with us 💚
I know we’re a punk band or whatever but if you follow us just know that I’m thinking about jackson browne, being bad at skateboarding, and what shoes won’t make my back hurt
new songs coming eventually. back in the studio in a few weeks. bye
When
@tinyengines
told me he got a new dog, I asked if he made it sign a three record contract and gave it a signing bone-us
that was my best joke of 2017
bye
did my taxes today & got to thinking. here are some numbers:
- 10 years as a band
- 383 shows played
- 14 different countries
- a laughable amount of money i'll never see ever, ever again

someone in the youtube comments of the
@SignalsMidwest
live stream called them a "Stone Cold Cuck Band" because ryan's shirt said fuck the NRA hahahahahaha shit i love that
kinda surprised that we're getting a few anti-masker / anti-vax / oddly alt-right comments on stuff lately.
then i remember that Ryan's wearing a "fuck the NRA" shirt in our
@audiotreemusic
session.
good. glad you know where we stand.
We recorded/filmed a 4-song set for
@thefestfl
at home, including a brand new song!
And our friends Zane and Amy re-created Boca Fiesta for us to fill the gaping burrito-sized hole in our hearts.
See it via
@thefestfl
's FB page this weekend w/ 1 million other bands.
i remember starting this band and hoping one day we could put out a cassette...so to see four 12" records all lined up together is extremely cool and very flattering. hell yeah.
