they gonna let that dickhead do a broadcast on twitter tonight?
been a lot of “last straws” over the last few months but i’m finally done with this dumb fuckin app
find me on the gram, patreon and the webstore

as a full time musician i completely disagree. sports provide local economy, jobs, infrastructure, community. nothing like what music provides
also the bias here of weighing in on the intellectual prowess of athletes vs musicians is.. maybe the stupidest thing i’ve ever heard?
Here it is
The definitive guide to a network of bands and musicians that made up a moment the internet loves to call 4th Wave Emo
115 bands. 6 hours of music. A moment in time we’ll never get back but one we all loved with everything we had
lately really noticing the good fight
@JasonIsbell
has to go through every day on this hell site
jason — i see you. i think most of us in the touring / music community do. and i know you know that you’re fighting the good fight. but also know we see it / respect it too. ✌🏻❤️
proper is ten years old today
fast and loose, broke as shit, out till four, evenings at the clipper, mornings at the hilton, bingo nights, scrabble nights, smoking on a balcony overlooking division street
a very special time
one i remember fondly
doesn’t feel like a decade
why would anyone — local band, touring band, human being — WANT to hang out in a green room?
yeah — i want to sit on my phone wasting fleeting hours of my life in a room w/ a veggie tray & dicks drawn all over the walls
i love touring. green room time is the worst part of it
i love proper
pleasantly surprised that intersections and standards were the records that got some journalistic love this year. making and releasing those records felt so strange at the time. only recently have become comfortable in my songwriting skin
here’s to the last decade
thinking about record labels now in the year 2024..
here are a couple quick thoughts which are strictly my opinions but overall i believe can be helpful considerations for young / DIY bands in a time where the machine does not work in our favor
a thread
we actually can’t afford to do it without the assistance of interested folks — it’d be a massive undertaking — but is there interest in Storm Chasers crowdfunding a 4xLP vinyl reissue of 52 Weeks?
If this gets 500 likes I’ll set it all up.
marijuana has been legal in chicago for less than 24 hours and i just saw CATS in a full movie theatre of people having a reallllly great time.
quite possibly the rowdiest movie crowd i’ve ever had the joy of being in.
2020 off to a great start
just watched a home depot employee knock a super rude customer tf out in the parking lot. happy holidays yall. be nice to retail and service workers this year!
hey
@Oreo
— have you ever thought about selling the chocolate oreo cookies separated from a large tub of oreo frosting… so then i could eat the cookies and frosting like chips and salsa?
my fiancé and i are going to hyphenate our last names when we get married next year
really appreciate that her initials will be AWW
and mine will be EWW
Figure is out today.
Deepest thanks to anyone who has streamed the songs, watched the videos, signed up for the Patreon, sent dm’s. Adam and I are feeling very overwhelmed this morning and it means the world to us.
It’s been a long road to today.. and It keeps winding. ❤️✌🏻
actual things I learned from making 52 Weeks
- luck favors the prepared
- don’t think too hard. or at all.
- you can’t polish a turd but you can resculpt one
- less is more
- don’t take yourself too seriously
- make peace with your moment in time
Happy 16th Birthday Into It. Over It.
Happy 15th Birthday 52 Weeks
Happy 12th Birthday Proper
Happy 39th Birthday Me
Hope everyone has a happy and healthy IIOI Day. Thanks for the kind notes and messages. ❤️❤️

Pet Symmetry has been working on a new LP for over a year.
Listening to the first round of mixes for the first time today. I’m so super proud of my buds and this record.
Cannot wait to share these songs with everyone. ❤️✌🏻
sleeping in a van is a top 5 worst sleeping experience next to
..sleeping in a ditch, sleeping on a hardwood floor, sleeping in the rain, sleeping covered in pet hair and sleeping in a bathtub. all of which have happened to me and i’m sure many others on the road
beds for all
y’all - if i’m your friend and i tell you “i love you” know that it’s because
1. i do
but also
2. i’ve lost enough friends this year that i’m going to take every opportunity i can to tell you “i love you” moving forward
happy 8th birthday to Intersections
misunderstood, weird, clothes don’t fit properly, chip on it’s shoulder, rebelling against it’s parents, sneaking out at night, smoking cigs in the alley, hungover
no choruses
the hardest one to play on guitar
you’re perfect and I love you

@JezPennington
! 'Figure' is out September 18th and you can pre-order it now.
all of the ten year stuff happening this year is simply a testament to how phenomenal that moment in time was for new music
i think 2030 will be another one of those moments. ten year tours where bands actually get to do what they wanted to in 2020 for the first time
recorded and mixed this entire thing in 14 days. a tour deforce session. at the end we all smoked a celebratory joint with ed and he got me maybe the highest i’d ever been in my life.
just a real goddamned motherfucker of a record
happy birthday intersections. you changed my life
drew a line in the sand where IIOI and bands like us were starting to get covered by major outlets / doing bigger things
also just a blast to play. here’s to 10 more years
saw that very emergency and something to write home about were released 20 years ago today
hit with a very specific memory of buying both of those and hwm’s no division from the tunes in voorhees NJ
i used money i got for my 15th birthday. turned 35 yesterday
life is wild.

hey people at business insider. i own a 2008 Chevy 3500. it has 325k miles on it, is named vanessa and has toured around the united states probably about 35 times. gimme a ring.
i grew up in new jersey.
i’ve spent years having a big stupid mouth.
a big part of 2018 for me has been resolving to STOP talking shit. turning negative feelings & opinions into positives. watching my big stupid mouth.
...unless it’s about
#45
#OnlyShitTalkTrump2018
imagine going back in time and releasing sgt pepper like 2 weeks before the beatles release sgt pepper. like just to fuck with em. pauls so bummed. “how did they know??”. call the band the worst name ever. something like the “scud muffins”
is there actually a debate right now about bands eating well on tour?
HEY WEIRDOS - this is imperative to good touring mental health
whenever you can splurge on a REALLY NICE meal. any day off - a NICE restaurant or make din together as a group
will do WONDERS FOR SURVIVAL
