Bangalore folks, are you getting static shocks on touching metal since a few days?
A crazy number of my friends are experiencing this. I saw a real little spark while opening the door knob.
Fairly convinced that for millions of households in India, a heart disease/serious accident is all it would take for them to be driven deep down into poverty. Our health insurance needs to deliver on a lot of fronts.

I and
@paraschopra
will be awarding this no-strings-attached grant each month to a boy and a girl with high potential.
The second wave might be behind us, but the destruction has been staggering, specially for young people dealing with loss of a parent.
Happy to put aside 10k/mo to sponsor trauma therapy for girls in the age group 15-25 who lost a parent to Covid.
Please dm or tell someone.
Thinking of making a small (20 people) whatsapp group of folks who can exchange books after reading. Based in Bangalore only.
Read a book, exchange it with someone for a new one.
Need to pair with people who read ~2 books/mo. Any takers?
Wish that this year, you see amazing bookstores, eat chowmein to your hearts content, taste hundreds of new beers and make that damn techno set youβve been promising your friends for years. So much love! Happy birthday, precious πβ¨
No drumrolls here, just quiet, sincere work done by individuals under the age of 25 towards building theirs and their community's lives.
These are the winners of February no-strings-attached grant of 50,000 Rupees as part of the Gaur and Chopra Escape Velocity Grant.
Sharing this to celebrate how far Iβve come from battling endometriosis, a constant low state of mind and dropping dead everyday at 9 pm because of energy crashes.
The struggle with the mind can be helped with physical fitness and all physicality is in the mind.
Kindness is not a trait, it is a choice. When people say, you are very kind, what they should know that someone chose to be kind.
A big difference between the two.
Last working day at
@wingify
(2015-2022) today.
A seven year journey comes to an end.
So grateful to everyone whose paths crossed with mine and to the ones who gave me the opportunity to be of service to this incredible set of humans over the years.
@paraschopra
@sparshgupta
Siddarth, hope you know that your team
@wingify_engg
will never be the same without you.
You have left us too soon. This is unfair buddy. Very very unfair. π°π°
Fun fact: The founder of the company where I interned in my second year of engineering yesterday became a client of Springworks! Life is a full circle. And this was my application π€¦ββοΈ

π September winners of the Escape Velocity Grants are here. Every month, I +
@paraschopra

For the next 6 months of the year,
@paraschopra
and I are swapping our books. He is reading the books I have read and recommend and I am reading the ones he has read and recommends. Will we last? Stay tuned in! These are the first swaps.
[Books Giveaway Alert]
Reading books written by female authors have always energised me. Right from the time I was a young reader. Iβve felt a sense of being understood and have felt inspired by the writing. I want to spread this joy forward.
Folks who buy and read a lot of books, what do you do with the books youβve read?
I am increasingly getting agitated at the idea of keeping books that Iβve read again in the pile (though its comforting to look at them)
(this library ainβt mine)
We have 70+ open roles at
@wingify
to be filled in the coming months.
Iβm wishing everyone who refers folks, to be blessed with 4 cups of chai everyday.

and I are married for ~10 yrs now. We realised when we started living away from parents what chores we love doing/what we don't like.
These are some domestic decisions in my opinion that work for both of us to have similar schedules.
Fellow traveller,
May you always be true to the path youβve chosen, grateful for the path youβve covered and always curious for the journey ahead.
Happy birthday

Massive transformation alert, The kind of range I display as a performer no other actress on this globe has that right now, I have raw talent like Meryl Streep for layered character depictions but I can also do skilled action and glamour like Gal Gadot

[1/4] In the last ten days as I used to sit down to deliver on projects, make plans for the future and do performance conversations, there would be this uncanny nagging feeling. It seemed as if we were making plans for future while the world around is burning.
One of the best books I read on healing from complex trauma. People who find βThe Body Keeps The Scoreβ dense and impersonal, this is what you are looking for.
The last movie that made me cry taking in the nihilistic backbone of the universe was Interstellar and last night, it was Everything Everywhere All At Once.
With this grant,
@paraschopra
and I complete a year of Escape Velocity Grants! We started with the aim to pick 24 high potential young people over a year and have been joined by fellow donors to make it 62 instead π«Ά
We don't intend to stop
With
@wingify
transitioning to a remote-first co, the first things we wanted to strike out were ways to help colleagues design home offices. We just released a one-time pre-tax allowance of Rs. 35k to Wingifighters to set up a productive workspace.

Hello twitter! In an effort to save our favourite indie bookstores from the wrath of this pandemic, I, along with tons of volunteers have started this app that lets you support your city bookstores. We have 100+ bookstores and are adding more. [1/5]
